As seems to be a theme these days, greedy leadership with poor management ability fcuked the company. Said fcukwit's need to be a) drained of all the cash they made and b) KTM as a brand needs to die. They were always too expensive and too unreliable. I can't believe KTM pulled a bait and switch, that sh1t might fly on cars (where punters are too stupid to know better) but not on motorcycles. The camshaft scandal perfectly demonstrated what they thought of their customers. I feel for the employees (I have a dealer local to me).

Gear lever movement |

Hi all, not sure if this is a common fault, but my gear lever seems to have a lot of movement side to side. It's a 1999 600, the crinkly washer is present & there doesn't appear to be a brass sleeve that can be changed. I've checked out rear sets online & the cost is eye watering. Does the gear lever or footrest wear quicker than the other?
Thanks in advance

SOLD
My adapted BMW shock now for sale. Decent condition apart from the spring preload ring, which is chewed up quite a bit.
- Gen 1 bronze coloured 2010-2012 version of the shock, about 313mm from centre of top mounting hole to centre of bottom mounting hole.
- Two sets of dogbones included (as I couldn't remember the correct length ones for this shock and no longer have a Fazer to check). One set is 150mm from hole centre-to-centre, the other is 155mm.
- Rebuilt by PLR suspension (Irish Road Racing experts) and has done around 800 miles since then, should be good for another 15k+.
- Black Yamaha R6 spring fitted, rate is 525lbs-inch. The standard BMW spring (red) also included, but from memory it's 475lbs so not really up to carrying anything other than a very light rider.
- Top shock mounting point uses top-hat spacers & a 10mm bolt, so it has not been drilled out to 12mm as per standard setup.
- Bottom mount uses a 10mm bolt and a spacer for the inside of the lower suspension knuckle's spacer (reducing it down from 12mm to 10mm). If you want it to be 100% perfect, the lower mounting point would need to be drilled out to 12mm as per the Fazer's lower bolt setup. Personally, I ran with the spacer / 10mm bolt setup & had no issues.

We all know the world has gone mad over recent years with person A being banned because Person C got upset over a comment Person A made to Person B - Person B wasn't even worried about the comment and was far from upset.
Show we worry about it or not?
The latest one in the news is the Go Compare bloke, Wynne Evans, who allegedly made a remark to one of the other male dancers about a female dancer who was between them. A bit of googling will tell you what he said and personally i suspect the female dancer may have even taken what was said as a compliment but someone got upset on her behalf and now Wynne has been binned.
Do we need to take a step back and stop getting so upset about everything or am i stuck in the dark ages?
