LOFOs: Whitstable Toy Run December 7th
Posted by: robbo - 16-11-25, 01:41 PM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - Replies (5)

The annual toy run leaves at 1 pm from the usual venue, which is Tankerton Road car park CT5 2AS, with folk arriving around 12ish and onwards.  The destination being the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Hospital in Margate. You can either bring an unwrapped toy to suit up to age 16, or a cash donation can be made to the official collectors in the car park area. There is usually a tea/coffee/burger van on site if you’ve skipped breakfast.

  noise from clutch
Posted by: gtangas - 08-11-25, 12:41 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - No Replies

Hi,

1998 FZS with 61.000miles on the clock

I recently started noticing a noise that seems to be coming from the clutch area.

The noise is present on acceleration, maybe above 3000/4000rpm or without throttle with the clutch lever engaged

Zero noise on rev the engine on neutral

any ideas?

How much is my bike worth
Posted by: fazersharp - 04-11-25, 09:04 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (9)

How much is my bike worth. For the first time ever I have been asked to take photos both sides and front and back and send my estimated valuation for this years insurance - its with carol Nash.  The insurance is being called as future classic vintage.
Photo of form included.
So what's it worth
98 reg
26k
Garaged
Never ridden in the wet in 24 years of my ownership
 All original incl exhaust
Not yet crashed
Leaned over a few times onto the floor resulting in scratches on casing and exhaust
A few scratches on mirror plastic from when I used to squeeze it into a tight spot next to a wall.
So not mint but very good
Photo of bike a few years old not but looks just the same now

  Race Tech Fork Springs
Posted by: SmuttyHutty - 04-11-25, 02:43 AM - Forum: FZ6 / FZ6 Fazer - Replies (4)

I've bought some Race Tech fork springs for my 2009 FZ6 S2 and am aware that the set comes with a length of spacer that needs cutting to size. I'm told that the Race Tech springs are shorter than the standard springs although as I've not disassembled the forks I can't confirm this.

Is anyone aware of the process of ensuring the correct spacer size is obtained?

In addition the fork oil is to be replaced. Do I use the specified 467ml of oil?

All advice and guidance is gratefully received.

For anyone interested the spring kit is code FRSP-S3732095 and the springs are 36.7x34.5x315 and 0.95kg

Is there a thread on what I will need to do to put the bike away for the winter since I  won’t be able to ride it for a while.

Cheers
