Any bits of advice for changing a swingarm over? Anything i need to watch out for, done bearings on fireblade swingarm few yrs ago but as we all know bikes can have their "characteristics" ....i reckon swingarm bearings will need renewed as a matter of course, anything else that must be changed over? Hints and tips appreciated!

Becomes an EU country tomorrow, which presumably means that we can ride there with 3rd party insurance under a normal UK policy. Anybody been, or planning to go on their bike? Looks like my kind of country - a capital city, lots of beach and bollocks to countryside :lol

  Happy birthday my bike

I picked it up 10 years and 74,995 miles ago today. Where does the time go?

Rode to the supermarket this afternoon and as I was coming out caught site of it and, do you know, it's still as beautiful as it was then :kiss

  pass light turns clocks off/on
Posted by: ajmes1 - 30-06-13, 06:17 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (10)

Just been tinkering around my FZS600 this afternoon attempting to source the problem for the fuel gauge not working, and noticed that when the ignition is on without the engine running, as I click the pass switch the clocks switch off and then immediately come on again through their start up sequence.

Any body else have this problem?

Could it be related to the fuel gauge not working correctly (see other post further down), or indicative of a dodgy battery?

  Talking of classics...

Couple of nice ones for old Kawasaki fans in the clothing shop next to H's café, Dorchester:
Z1, green, metmachex(?) s/arm, 4-1, otherwise pretty standard, spotless - £5500ish.
Z650B or C, 4-1, Candy Apple Green (rare colour and not correct for this model), about 29k miles, very clean, £3500.
Z1300, all original, very clean, didn't catch price or mileage but nice example.
Oh, and a black Hayabusa TURBO with extended s/arm, yours for £9500! Death wish, anyone?!
Also spotted, another Ducati Diavel in red - not what I would call  a cruiser look - very original kind of, well, street-bruiser style for want of a better description. Very nice Honda Britain style racer, think it might have had the 900 engine.
And having just mentioned the rare Kawasaki colour, a Z650 F2 in Candy Apple Green, correct for the model this time. Owner also has an FZS600 but has been having trouble with uneven chain adjustment!
Knew I should've taken the camera... :rolleyes

  FOC-U Flyers
Posted by: nick crisp - 30-06-13, 04:55 PM - Forum: General - Replies (8)

Had me a little ol' idea (uh-oh!). Is there someone who could print up a load of little leaflets, perhaps with the FOC logo as per the home page, maybe something like:
                  FOC-U!
Fazer Owners Club - Unofficial
You have been Focced!
You were spotted today by a member of the Fazer Owners Club
Check out the site, blah blah.
I'll leave the actual wording to someone else, but after you left H's today Paul, a blue gen 1 pulled (slowly!) in. Didn't see where the owner went to chat, but could've leafleted(?) his bike.
Maybe packs of 20, charged at cost to produce or whatever for those that want them?
Stupid idea?

Charity Ride 20th July - Hein Gericke Braintree
Posted by: Dead Eye - 30-06-13, 02:33 PM - Forum: Events, Meets, Ride outs etc - No Replies

Went to Hein Gericke in Braintree today and broke my credit card... however, there is a fancy dress (optional) Charity Ride on the 20th July going from Braintree (start is the Hein Gericke store at 9am) to Southend stopping off at different places as they go. It's to raise awareness for Huntingtons Disease

Figured I would go along and wondered if anyone from the Foccers clan would tag along, any takers? Smile

Forgot to pick up the darned leaflet so this is all from memory Tongue I was referred to the Facebook page WhiteHart Bikers by Lorrain (Lorri)
