Talking of classics...
#1
Couple of nice ones for old Kawasaki fans in the clothing shop next to H's café, Dorchester:
Z1, green, metmachex(?) s/arm, 4-1, otherwise pretty standard, spotless - £5500ish.
Z650B or C, 4-1, Candy Apple Green (rare colour and not correct for this model), about 29k miles, very clean, £3500.
Z1300, all original, very clean, didn't catch price or mileage but nice example.
Oh, and a black Hayabusa TURBO with extended s/arm, yours for £9500! Death wish, anyone?!
Also spotted, another Ducati Diavel in red - not what I would call  a cruiser look - very original kind of, well, street-bruiser style for want of a better description. Very nice Honda Britain style racer, think it might have had the 900 engine.
And having just mentioned the rare Kawasaki colour, a Z650 F2 in Candy Apple Green, correct for the model this time. Owner also has an FZS600 but has been having trouble with uneven chain adjustment!
Knew I should've taken the camera... :rolleyes

Some say that he eats habanero chilli peppers dipped in oil of capsaicin for extra bite and that his pyjamas are made from Nomex. All we know is, he's called Ad the Bad

Well I've had a Z650 (F2) and a Z1000(J) but pics would have still been good.

The Z650 had Metmachex swing arm, Mr Minder shocks, Harris 4-1, Two Four seat, pod filters and bullet clock fronts. The 1000j was standard apart from a Harris 4-1.

So here's some picture links, not of my bikes but in standard trim.

Both were blue... The faster colour  :lol

Found some old files of some of my classics in verious stages of rebuild. Forget the XL125. I don't think you could count that as a classic.
The Z650, like Bowie, went through several changes from original to yellow to purple and blue to metalic blue with yellow pinstripes. Can't seem to find a picture in its final form.

I've had 3 Z650s - a bit of a passion of mine at one time. Can't seem to find many photos at the mo'. Here's a couple. The green one on it's own was my first, an F2, Candy Apple Green, hence the obsession with that colour. Somewhere I've got a photo of it after mods - Dresda box-section s/arm, Laser 4-1, 2/4 seat, Goodridge, S&Ws, S&B filters etc. I was 14 years old, my brother had to change the sump pan, fitted the new one without oil relief valve! Wrecked the cam shells, blued two con rods, damaged pistons, rings and bores. Then he turned his back on it, saying if I could fix it, I could have it! Had a Saturday job at a bike dealers, where I stripped it, took cams to have bearing surfaces reground, matched up a new set of shells, rebore, new pistons, rings, had crankshaft checked out (was OK). Rebuilt it and flogged it for a song - well, £300 was a lot for a 14 year old!
2nd pic is my F1 (red). Had custom stainless 4-2 - a little more upswept, shorter and rortier than std pipes. Otherwise nigh on std.
The green one with belly pan etc was mine, a B model from the States, originally black, but then sold it to my mate who modded it to what you see here, with my F1.
Always liked thou Js too, but never had one. Have had a Z1, 2 750 H2s and of course the 750 Turbo.
Guess the Kwacka passion is over now, can't afford more than one bike  Sad

PS
I like the early GPZ style fairing on your J. Harris 4-1 too.

So by the looks of it there have been a few baby Zeds in the family. I'd love to have another. I reckon they were pretty bullet proof. I had soooo much fun on mine as a wee youth. Rode it through a few hedges and fences.... just going through a learning curve.

:lol

And the Z650 is the only older bike I've been able to go back to and still enjoy. I once rode an FZ750 that belonged to a mate, long after I'd owned one. I remember it as a really good bike, but I hated riding one again later. Best to keep the rose tinted specs, I think...

Found a couple more pics.
1. Z650 F2 after mods.
2. Denco tuned H2 (you might have seen this elsewhere on this site, but at least it belongs on this thread!)
3. 750 turbo (also appeared elsewhere)
4. Best- sounding pipes in the world! On the turbo, sounded like an F1 car, but the turbo unit actually does give some silencing effect.
