Tail tidy and rear wheel spray
Posted by: b1k3rdude - 31-07-24, 04:12 PM - Forum: General - Replies (3)

So Im getting kinda fed of the spray coming of the rar wheel and covering the back of the bike and me in dirt/dirty water as a result of the previous owner fitting a tail tidy.

After coming across this Z1000sx owners I then found the product and wondered if anyone has fitted one..?

£2 per hour to park your motorcycle/scooter in Hounslow
Posted by: b1k3rdude - 31-07-24, 01:46 PM - Forum: General - No Replies

Hounslow Council should urgently reconsider their plans for motorcycle and scooter parking charges, or risk devastating impacts to the lives and livelihoods of riders and those who rely on them -

·         Motorcycle bays charged at £1-£2 per hour, totalling £2,000-£4,160 per year for a commuter
·         20-40 times more expensive than the few other Boroughs who charge for motorcycle parking
·         Residents’ motorcycle permits to cost up to £120 per year, business permits up to £520
·         Charges even for electric mopeds which have no more impact than Lime bikes

  Hello..

Hi group. Thanks for letting me join.

I have just bought a 2004 Fazer 1000 last month. I wasn't looking for one with any seriousness but they did catch my eye when I was searching for other yamaha parts over the last couple of years (I have just rebuilt my 1976 RD400..again, for the last time..my pride and joy, bought in boxes in 1991.)
Fazers kept popping up in searches and I thought they are a fantastic looking thing.
One turned up for sale very locally and after a few messages and a viewing a deal was made.
It is very tidy considering its 20 years old, but needed the exup system sorting. A new servo was sourced and fitted and all is well. I obviously had to set up controls to suit me and a set of bar risers due to aching joints. I have removed the Givi rack for now as it looks cleaner but will be using it when I find a box to fit. Passenger rails are hopefully on the way.
Done around 300 miles on it already...and what a machine it is.!
Looking forward to putting a lot more miles on it..

Here's a few pictures of it..and my RD..
