  Rear indicator - nut and washer
Posted by: shieldr - 05-07-24, 04:13 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - No Replies

Hi

Currently bringing my FZS600 02 plate back to life after nearly five years.

One of the rear indicators was snapped at the neck so I ordered a replacement that I think looks like the original....It is huge compared to the one that was on there.

Anyway as I suspected the unit was posted without a retaining nut and washer.

Can anyone advise where to source nuts and washers for this task?

Thanks, Richard

Also, I will be buying a matching unit for the other side, Unless anyone can suggest replacement indicator sets that look good on this bike.

With the server upgrade carried out by the forum hosts it proved one step too far for the ageing software we were using so we have had to jump to the new software we have been testing for a couple of weeks now.

- Its not perfect, there are still some issues but if you spot anything, tell us - we may not have noticed it yet.
- If there are any changes you would like to see, tell us - we may not have thought about it yet

Tell us by responding to this thread and we will see what we can do.

  Renthal 758's
Posted by: fazerscotty - 03-07-24, 09:06 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (11)

I have just purchased a set of 758's - not to bling up the 'Thou, but to see if they will help in any way to the nirvana of comfort  :lol

I remember reading on here years ago, that you had to drill and tap the end of the handlebars to fit the bar weights, however, looking at the ends of the bars, there is no material to drill or tap into!

So, my question is - a). Am I looking at getting some nice new bar weights for the Rentals, or b). do I have to even bother?

  can someone identify this ticking noise.
Posted by: MeteorStorm - 02-07-24, 08:05 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (8)

Hi,

I recently did  a DIY job on my motorcycle splitting the engine case and replacing second gear on my fzs1000. All went well and now i can dry my bike again woop woop.
However i'm having an unknown ticking sound. Maybe a bolt is loose, or is that the sound of cam chain rattle, or something worse? please advise. It's worse coming off throttle which would suggest cam chain, but there's just also alot more vibration when you release throttle...so i'm not sure.

Hi guys.

I've a selection of K-tech shock springs for sale.

Springs have done no work as used only for testing on another bike project.
Below are the springs I have for sale:

ID=55/ Length=155/ Rate=115N/mm
ID=55/ Length=155/ Rate=125N/mm
ID=55/ Length=155/ Rate=160N/mm

Price is £50 each posted, UK only, payment via Paypal or £45 collected (Barnsley, S/Yorks)

Thanks for looking.

  Gen 1 Side Stand
Posted by: old son - 30-06-24, 04:44 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (6)

Has anybody had a problem with the side stand on their Gen 1?  My bike seems to lay over more than it used to. Is there a chance something is worn and could break allowing the bike to fall over. There does not seem to be anything lose. I presume a second hand one could be just as worn?

  Inner cowl part number
Posted by: bigfootpete - 30-06-24, 08:44 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (4)

Does anyone know the right side inner cowl part number?
From the parts catalogue it one of these two: 5LV-2836K-00 or 5LV-2836L-00 but I don't know which is for the right side?

The picture in the catalogue only shows one.
