Hi, I've been offered a couple of FZ1'ns and just wondered how bad they are, I know a few prefer gen1 model but is it worth getting the later model???

Hi my fazer 600 has developed a problem at high revs, when riding normally its fine but if i go past 8k theirs a point were it stutters/bogs then overcomes it, ive cleaned the carbs, replaced plugs, air filter and coils if anyone could give me some advice on whats wrong it would be much appreciated.

So I've been to see a man about my bike, and among various other parts, I've been informed that a change of chain+sprockets is a good shout.  When I was chatting to this guy, he was talking about using non standard sprocket sizes to get better acceleration/top speed depending on which way you went.


I've had a bit of a search about for getting different sized sprockets for my 2000 Fazer, but can't seem to find any relevant info.  So my questions are basically where can I get some information regarding this change of setup, where can I actually buy different sized sprockets from, and what are peoples experiences with this modification?


Any info would be much appreciated - I did do a forum search, assuming this must have been discussed at some point, but it came up blank, so if anyone can point me in the direction of a relevant thread even...

I'm thinking of getting a MT-01 as a second bike for a long distance plodder? anyone had one of these, if so what did you think of it?

Hello All, Joined a few weeks ago, have been a two wheeler for many years, my first being a BSA Bantam, "in green", the list goes on. Really enjoying my 2001 FZS600, the quicker one in blue. Wish I could work out how to insert a picture of it, full fairing and all ! 

I, and a few other foc'cers I've spoken to, have come across slow performance and timeout of page loads on the FOC forum (I've surprisingly got it in the wee hours more often than not).  Is it possible to have a look at the logs and/or load to understand if it is performance challenged ?


I think there were a few timeouts connecting to the database too.


Soz if it's an imposition.

It has BS stamp but no e mark. Pretty sure it don't need both eh?

It has perforations at bottom, assuming therefore that its baffled. It roars but doesn't say anywhere not for road use.

Thoughts?
