Back on a Fazer, new to the forum
Posted by: 66Fazer33 - 30-08-20, 09:07 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (1)

Hi, I've just bought a 2012 Fazer 8. Loving it so far. This is my second Fazer. Years ago I had a 1st gen Fazer 600.

Ive had quite a few bikes in the past and despite MCN's 3 star "review" of the 8 I can confirm its actually a fine machine  Big Grin

  Fork alignment
Posted by: Edwood - 29-08-20, 08:12 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (13)

I'm having one bitch of a time trying to get my forks to line up with the rear. Never had so much trouble doing this job with other bikes. No matter how careful I am, once I tighten everything back up and recheck its moved out of alignment.
Has anyone else had this trouble with a Fazer or am I having a senior moment ??

  Pilot Screw adjuster

Was thinking of having a fiddle with the pilot airscrew adjusters.
Can anyone recommend a tool to do this with the carbs in situ?

  Dovi's title?
Posted by: coffee - 27-08-20, 12:12 AM - Forum: Diesels and Lawnmowers (Bike racing n things) - Replies (1)

I have never wished anyone to win this years' Moto GP title as much as I want Dovi to,after being elbowed out of Ducati at the end of the year he wins and with a solid if not spectacular fifth at the weekend he's only a few points off Quatararo ,with a bit of luck and Marquez not about he's got a good shot at it this year and then a massive Foc off !! to Ducati. :finger

I like a close race with no quarter given but does anyone else think Andy Irwin is a bit out of control this year?  :eek

  Spot light mounting position
Posted by: dazza - 26-08-20, 06:14 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (20)

Hello Foccers,  during the recent hot weather I've taken to riding the twisties at night when it's cooler.
I want to fit some spot lamps to the front of the bike to help illuminate the lanes a bit better.
So, anyone fitted them ? Where abouts and how did you wire them ?
I'm thinking to splice them into the high beam as I don't want to think about pressing a separate switch when I'm on the move.
Bike is an FZS1000 also going the same route with the MT10.
Any ideas or advice would be helpful.  Smile
