Anyone know the dimensions of the FZ6-S (04-06) Fork Spacer?
Posted by: Grahamm - 24-07-20, 08:29 PM - Forum: FZ6 / Fazer - Replies (13)

Does anyone know the dimensions (length/ external diameter) of the spacer on the front forks of the FZ6-S Fazer 04-06?

It's part 18 (or 38) on the picture.

Alternatively, does anyone know the internal diameter of the Inner Fork Tube (2 or 22)?

I want to shorten mine to reduce the preload on the Hyperpro fork springs I bought (they're a bit too firm as I only weigh 64kg), but I want to get some PVC or aluminium tube to experiment with rather than start cutting down the OEM spacer!

  2001 fzs 1000 for sale
Posted by: ninjabika - 24-07-20, 08:19 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

as title says, i bought this as a project a couple of years ago but never got round to doing anything with it. has only done 2000 miles in last six years, loads of reciepts and old mots

its got 29000 gen miles
hel braided brake lines
factory hugger
r1 shift lever
zx9 adjustable clutch lever
renthall bars and cross brace
double bubble screen
akrapovic can, sounds nice
blue engine bolts
givi top box
maxton rear shock

bad bits  its all just a little tired, paintwork has a few scratches and knocks.
paint flaking off engine in places

the final good point, i took it for a mot today and it sailed through with no advisories so it comes with a full new mot

£1700 or nearest offer, will make a great bike just needs a bit of tlc

  Renthal bars
Posted by: fatbloke62 - 24-07-20, 03:05 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (7)

Hi ,i know the renthal 758 bars seem to be the most popular choice for the gen1, 1000 , has anyone fitted 754 bars ? , are there any issues with these regarding cable and brake line length or any fouling on the fairing

FOR SALE: Micron exhaust, high level, FZS 1000.
Posted by: maxcasper - 23-07-20, 06:01 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

In excellent condition, you get all the parts shown in the photo.
The can is stamped "not for road use", but it's not overly loud of offensive, the sound is deep and throaty.
I no longer own the bike it was fitted to, but I ran it with the pillion footrests removed. Someone had the same can for sale on this site some time ago, with the pillion footrests fitted, I guess using spacer tubes over the bolts. I don't have these spacers, but the buyer could make some quite easily if they so wished.
I also fitted rear mini indicators, as the standard ones are too big on the exhaust side.
Any questions please ask, I'm asking £150ono. You can email me at mann14@btinternet.com

  New fairings
Posted by: Budthewiser - 22-07-20, 04:21 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (2)

Gents the project FZ1 2007 that I have is going very slowly. An idea that I have is to add the larger side fairings. Wheres the cheapest place to find them, £380 on Ebay is to much considering they need to be sprayed  as well.
