Small(er) number plates?

I've had the standard size number plate on for quite a while, but I'm thinking about fitting a smaller plate, maybe 7"X5", or 8"X6". What do you reckon? I've got the R&G tail tidy and I reckon a smaller plate would look great, but I know there might be issues with Mr. Plod. I'd appreciate your views and any recommendations for UK suppliers of smaller plates?

Complete new front fairing?

Hi,
Had a smallish accident this morning, for the first time in 23 years of riding bikes.
Kid went through a zebra crossing at full speed on his bicycle, not stopping to look left or right. I did what I best could and thanks to my reaction I only hit his rear bicycle wheel, but also caught a part of his rucksack and him with my fairing, which sent him spinning for 180 degrees. Landed on the tarmac with bruises and shock, but nothing serious.
I managed to stay on the bike, however my front fairing took a beating, broke and left side got pushed inside. Mountings for the fairing are all broken (mounting frame included). Inner black plastics are both warped. The left mirror is done too.
I'm looking to buy a complete new front fairing with frame, because this one cannot be patched.
Looked through Wemoto, but they don't have any. Ebay has partial fairing parts only, I need everything that goes in front except for the lights, instruments and blinkers.
Any clue where I might find that?
Thanks

99 FZS 600 - Left hand switchgear wobble

Hi,
So I've not had the FZS 600 all that long but I've noticed a wobble on the L/H switchgear that means it can be rotated backwards and forwards to the point that putting the choke on single handily means it can, but not always, move (in as much as I now subconsciously hold the switchgear a little when moving the lever -- not a big deal, just an example).
It doesn't move a whole bunch during a ride, so isn't a big issue, but is this common?
I've replaced the two screws (as the heads on the ones I had were worn) and there as tight as they go and so there's no issue on that front. Usually there's a locating pin that goes into the bars on most bikes, but I've not looked / split the switchgear just so I don't end up looking for any springs that may pop out etc. :lol
So.. does yours move, or is the pin in mine probably not located properly or broken (I realise I'll have to look, if suggested)?
Figured I'd ask,
Thanks.
