  Nuclear Beans on Toast!
Posted by: nick crisp - 14-09-13, 12:54 PM - Forum: General - Replies (2)

Thought I'd experiment:
Toast (preferably seeded wholemeal).
Take one can of baked beans, add a good dash of chilli powder and a good squirt of HP Fruity sauce, stir thoroughly - nuke in microwave.
Ah, that hit the spot!

  MRA touring screen
Posted by: phil on a fazer - 13-09-13, 05:20 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (7)

Hi

For a long time now i've had the yamaha touring screen on my Thou (it came with the bike). im a tiny bit under 6' 4" and find the screen ok...ish

Im looking at switching to the MRA touring screen (£100!). im running Renthal 758's but with small risers (around 20mm)

Im hoping the bars wont foul the screen on full lock. I'm just trying to weigh up if its worth spending £100 on a screen!?!?!.....what do you reckon?

  Fazer 1000 won't start.
Posted by: Fuzzygoth - 13-09-13, 04:36 PM - Forum: General - Replies (4)

Having been a student my Fazer's been off the road for a while and I am having trouble starting
it again. The MOT and Road Tax has expired and the bolts in the batter are slightly chewed making
it difficult to extract the battery for charging. No problem thinks I, Jump it from the bulldog and ride
it around until it charges up, all nice in theory. The bike has heated grips, an inforad and SatNav
mount as well as an alarm and autocom.

The bike jumps fine and starts idling fine, however all the electrics keep flashing on and off and it keep
backfiring and when I let the clutch out it bucks a lot as it manages to get some acceleration on and
then it loses it again. It was running fine before hand but it has been sitting for a few months. Any
thoughts? I kind of need it on the road as it actually has tyres which my Bulldog doesn't. Alas I've not
been able to get it to the MOT station today so no MOT and No Road Tax.

Posted by: jackojet - 13-09-13, 04:31 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (14)

:\
It is with regret  after 8 years of gen 1 thou ownership and great times both owning the bike and all the help on here,I have recieved, I am trading the old girl in.
I can't afford to keep her and have a new bike.
I have got a good deal else I would of tried selling her on here.
So new bike next week.
I will still come on here from time to time as you guys make it such a good forum.

Keep an eye in the for sale column as I have loads of bits for the fazer to shift.
Many thanks to Mike, Devilsyam and many others Smile
Cheers Jacko
