New owner here. I've just bought a 1999 Fzs 600 that's only done around 4000 miles. I've not passed my test yet (start training on the 23rd) so I'm using the time to fettle it a bit (not that it needs much) Just freeing off a sticky front brake piston and re-painting the main stand so far. On the advice of a forum member, I pulled off the drive sprocket cover and checked the drive sprocket nut. Its a 9mm thick nut. There's no sign of movement between sprocket, lock tab and nut. I'm pretty sure its the original chain and sprockets. So do I get a new 12mm thick nut and change it now or wait until I need a new chain/sprocket set and do it then?

Hello foccers,
ManicMarvin here and just rejoined the new foc-u, based in Cheltenham.
Originally a member back in 2002 after passing my test and buying a Fazer 600, Red...which of course we all know to be the fastest Fazer 600 I ran on the Southampton 2002 trip and also on the French Foray 2003 and 2004...which was just fantastic!
So today, after an excursion onto Triumph's (Sprint ST & America (I know...I know)), I came back from my local dealer after buying a 2011 Fazer8 in white...which of course we all know to be the fastest Fazer8
Pick her up next Thursday as they're fitting heated grips, main stand and giving her a service. Cannot wait, booked off next Friday and the following Monday...bring it on!
Cheers. Manic.

My sin wants to buy one of these. Does anyone have any experience on these bikes. Seen one on eBay for £600. It has had 10 owners and is a 2003.
