  Black Forest

Anyone used any Hotels in the Black forest region of Germany?

Heading for somewhere in Europe on Thursday for 4/5 days depending on weather. Looks good there and we got rained off last year so may head back.

Ideally would like a hotel in a town with some life après ride Smile and not a ghost town!

  SOLD: FZS600 Belly Pan
Posted by: Robbus - 15-06-14, 04:54 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (9)

Genuine Yamaha belly pan with crash bungs. Somewhat rare is the best description Wink It's not perfect, couple of chips and the front part is split slightly but solid when mounted on the bike. Obviously repairable should it need respraying to a slower colour.

Crash bungs are undamaged, ironically I've drop the bike a couple of times since removing the belly pan and bungs - d'oh Wink

I'm looking for £100ono, that includes delivery. Or if you want to collect from the wilds of East Yorkshire that's no problem and I'm more than happy to help fit it and offer a brew.

Cheers,
Rob

  major tight spot on chain
Posted by: scoobie_paws - 15-06-14, 04:46 PM - Forum: General - Replies (13)

chain and sprockets been replaced on bike recently (before i got it) and the chain has major tight spot. don't think it saw any lube and was pretty bad on way home after i bought it. Was ok on test ride couple of days earlier but was wet so think it buggered it a bit more.
anyhoo spent couple of hours the other day working each link free with chain lube in each one, that was fun, and seemed to sort it and was running free. short run and was ok, readjusted the chain as moved a bit after lube. Job done i thought.

well ride out today and its back, almost no flex in chain at one area, roll in on and has 35-40mm as should. Should i redo it again or bite the bullet and get a new chain. was a did 530vm so not cheap shite. sprockets look as new so would prob keep them unless they are also part of the problem tho don't know how.

your thoughts are much appreciated Smile

  Sad day

Why is it we get attached to our pets so much.
Had to have my ancient collie put to sleep this morning and almost cried like a baby!
Once the vet started to shave her leg ready for the needle she decided she was going to take him with her :lol  , had to muzzle her - bless her heart  - she's at peace now  Sad

  GEN 1 Fazer Indicators
Posted by: Manners - 15-06-14, 03:33 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (6)

Hi all,

I think the indicators on the Gen 1 are a little ugly, especially the front (too bulky)! Just my opinion but I love the bike in almost every other way, so thought I would try to get some smaller indicators, preferably clear.

I don't want to bugger around with resistors, etc - just a simple plug/play would do me great.

Has anyone done the same and if so can you recommend a set? I saw quite a few options on eBay but unsure about the Chinese ones.

  Fzs1000 02
Posted by: Loplop46 - 15-06-14, 02:54 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (5)

Hello everyone. I have recently acquired a blue fzs1000 and it is one of the best bikes I have ever ridden. I had heard fantastic things about them for years but went down the sports bike route instead!  We'll I've now tracked my gsxr and have the fzs for the road. I don't know much about how to make them better but I feel like I have to replace the standard handlebars as they feel too far back but which ones to go for?  Any help or advice would be most welcome. As I have said its a 02 plate fzs1000 with 29,000 miles on the clock and is totally standard.  I look forward to hearing from any of you.
