  Spider in the fuel gauge
Posted by: wickedmonkey - 16-06-14, 08:14 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Why do spiders love my FZS600 so much? They keep on building webs all over the place and running around all over my bike when I'm not looking -- despite using it pretty much every day to commute and washing it almost every week. Could it be the Muck Off speed wax polish I've been using that's attracting them?

Anyway, I saw a little critter in the fuel gauge today when I was filling up. I filled the tank up full but the gauge won't go too full now. Anyone know how easy it is to get the clocks apart in order to clean them and remove any stray arachnids? Anyone else ever had a spider problem like this?

  12v Phone Charger Socket
Posted by: Peasy - 15-06-14, 09:51 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (3)

Evening all,

I wondered if anyone could recommend a 12v socket for fitting to my bike that I can charge my phone whilst riding. Would be under the seat rather than exposed anywhere.

There seems to be loads of different ones available and I am sure they're all similar but would be good to get a recommendation or 2

Thanks
Lewis

  upgrade fzs 600 mirrors 2001
Posted by: caretaker62 - 15-06-14, 06:47 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

Hi folks i no this has been covered before, but i have a few questions i cant find answers to ,1st if i buy mirrors from china will i have to pay import duties,2nd whats a fair price, 3rd whats the very best upgrade and can they be purchased in Great Britain. I really need mirrors ASAP as i can see more of me than whats behind, im over 6ft and 18stoneĀ  :rolleyes yes im on my life long diet ,but i think i would need to slim down to about 8stone and even then mirrors might not work. Thanks for your time and advice. ps ive only had my Fazer fzs 600 on the road a couple of months LOVE it, first big bike will be keeping this wonderful machine for a long long time, many many thanks ct62

How easy is it to make your own seat?
Posted by: ChristoT - 15-06-14, 06:07 PM - Forum: General - Replies (26)

As per title.

I have bought a Ducati 748 rear fairing (same as 916 and 996) off ebay, but it has no seat pads. How easy would it be to make a pillion cowl and a riders' seat, or are there any other bikes whose seats are a precise fit already?

Many thanks!
