Hi Foccer's.
Got a gen 2 genuine Yamaha touring screen for sale if any one is interested. Have got one that I use on my gen 1 and it is the best screen I've tried by far. There is no wind blast to your chest or shoulders making high speed touring very comfortable. I bought it to replace my adapted one when it gave up the ghost but that's not going to happen yet so thought I'd offer it on here. It's in very good condition, although there is a small mark on the bottom right hand corner I think. These very seldom come up second hand and are expensive to buy new. . I want £50 incl postage or make me a sensible offer. Will post pics later if anyone is interested. Cheers Dazza.

One of our most favoured members has just announced on fb the end of his 33bhp restriction.
My instant thought was, what point is the restriction if the restricted rider spends most of the period without a bike or making insurance claims for crashing without penalty.
Surely there should be a monitoring system (black box) and the ability to impose probationary extensions..

Hi all been fettling the new girl and noticed that she is quite rattly on tick over until I pull clutch and then goes quiet.
Could this be cam chain tensioner? Thought that would continue clutch in or out but not sure
Is it normal or do I need to poke about in the clutch?
On plus side new conti road attack 2 tyres on today and feel nice but will run in tomorrow :-) also new ebc hh pads at front as old ones had about a mm left :-\ tried to replace sprocket but with 12 mm but looks like a two man job as just turns motor over with breaker bar.... Still least it means old one won't come off anytime soon
Cheers
Mark

I had a discussion with my Dad at the hospital tonight. He mentioned maybe having to sell the house to pay for a care home, but he doesn't want to go into one. Nor do I think it's necessary. I've offered to quit my job to stay at home for him, and he suggested that I could claim carers allowance, but I don't think I'd be eligible. Anyone know about this? I've been told that the allowance is means tested on the basis of the HOUSEHOLD income and not the carer's income. Is that right? TBH, we could manage quite well without it, assuming my Dad can stop being so tight fisted :lol He has agreed that he would pay off the outstanding sum on the loan I took out for the bike, and with my brother around, hopefully it would mean I can still get out on it sometimes, as I also have my Armed Services pension - not a huge amount but perhaps enough.
I think I'm being a little bit selfish too, as the house and some savings he has stand to be mine and my brother's inheritance (which is what my Dad wants too), but I do think it works out well for everyone this way. My Dad gets what he wants - to finish his time at home, rather than in one of those impersonal (and potentially miserable) homes, and my brother wouldn't have to worry so much how my Dad is while he's at work.
Thoughts? Is this the right way to go about things? Mixed feelings barely begins to describe how I feel right now :\
