Clutch lever not springing back as far as it used to
Posted by: wickedmonkey - 07-09-16, 04:52 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (7)

Hi all,

My clutch cable has started to not return as eagerly as it used to. I'm presuming it needs lubricating but not sure how. Anyone done this before?

David

  Front brake light switch
Posted by: wickedmonkey - 07-09-16, 04:31 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

Hi guys,

After replacing my front brake pads, my front brake switch doesn't quite come on soon enough. Is there any way of adjusting this? Does changing the brake lever span dial setting effect when the switch is activated?

Many thanks,

David.

Hey guys/girls
I'm Adam. I'm a Tattooist from Essex but living in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire.

I've just recently bought a 2007 FZ1n Abarth assetto corse rep. It's an absolute beaut! Once i figure out how to add picturea ill be sure to put some up.
My last bike was a Yamaha thundercat which I owned for around 3 years.

Anyways I thought I'd come join up here so expect some silly questions and possibly crude humour.

  Crash = Sadness (CBF125)
Posted by: JonBailey - 07-09-16, 01:17 PM - Forum: General - Replies (18)

Hi all,

The Crash:
Monday morning I crashed my cbf125. Woman pulled out of her driveway form behind a car in front of me. The road conditions were wet so as I broke the bike went out from underneath me. The bike went into the Rear RHS of the car and I behind the car along the floor.

The Damage:
As I hit the floor my lower back was in so much pain (7.5/10). The bike has a bent frame, bent yoke, fairings both broken, front fairing/headlight unit broken, bent forks, bent disc, broken indicators, broken shifter.
Didn't get to see her car, I was on the floor, I hope the police got all the details I need.

The Aftermath:
I'm on a MCAMS loan bike until the insurance is sorted, I don't have a 125 to take me up until december (When I take my A2 Test), insurance paid for a new helmet (got a Shoei Qwest), and she said I am at fault for the accident.

And then yesterday my phone smashed on the floor, having a terrible week so far!

  Indicator wiring question
Posted by: Bretty - 07-09-16, 11:38 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (1)

I've spent a bit of time looking at the wiring diagram.

PROBLEM:
No headlights
No sidelights
No Left indicators (F&R)

Main beam works!
Dashboard indicator light works!

Hazards - only right indicators flash.

I've deduced that the fault must be where the two return wires from the front and rear left indicators join before going back to the left handlebar switch.

Any idea where that joint is? Before I take the tank, tail section, side covers and left handlebar switch apart to look for it?!
