Posted by: canni - 26-10-16, 03:55 PM - Forum: FZ6 / FZ6 Fazer - Replies (6)

Hey all, all my previous bikes where a shaft driven, so I have literally no idea about chains Big Grin

Anyone fancy joining & helping me with replacing chain & sprockets, I really would like to learn how I can do this myself,
but I'm a bit scared about messing things up, based only on youtube vids...

Surely I can provide some hospitality ann/or payment for the brave soul Big Grin

Location: Woking in Surrey

Has anyone got one of the new "BlacK" ones, not the more expensive smart one but the standard one.

I am trying to find out if it has a guide that shows what is on across all the catchups all in one place or do I have to go to each of the separate players - itv player etc to then see what's on there.

  Scorpion can
Posted by: Graham53 - 25-10-16, 10:01 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (19)

Has anybody got a scorpion can or experience of one ? I've just fitted a road legal one with db killer which sounds great with the db killer ( not too loud ) in but the power loss is really noticeable, there's no oomph anymore, when I fitted it it seemed like the link pipe was smaller diameter than standard but it's probably just my eyes.
Anyway when you take the baffle out it's loud obviously but too loud for me and the oomph is back but no more than standard and without the midrange torque but it makes the motor feel harsh and vibey and like it's not doing it any good or running lean maybe ?
I really wanted a can that would give a better sound without being annoying , keeping the midrange but never expected what I've ended up with.
Anyone got any ideas

  Backpacs?

Can anyone recommend a decent backpac for daily commuting use? I've got this Karrimor thing thats just not up to the job anymore, it's for sandwiches, keys, phone, wallet, the occasional items of clothing etc. Oh yeah, it's got to be easy to put on over a textile jacket with the usual padding.

Hi guys,

So after my earlier error in judgment of trading my beloved Fazer for a Tracer and subsequent attempt to redeem the situation by selling said Tracer and or part exchanging for equally beautiful Fazer failed I was presented with the option of a part exchange, (in sellers favour),for a 2015 Kawasaki Z1000SX.
Took a bit of a risk with no test ride but I must say I'm really happy with it so far, it's an awsome piece of kit.
Anyway this has left me with a few Fazer thou accessories to get rid of.
Powerbronze belly pan with brackets and fitting instructions..SOLD
Rear Hugger..SOLD
Front fender extender..SOLD

I've also got an unused Oxford one piece lined wet suit size Large for 20 quid plus the postage
Just found a standard screen too so a tenner for that if anyone needs one.

Cheers for looking

  New prospective owner

Hello all,

After many years of sports v twins and aching wrists I have settled on the Fazer gen1 as a long term bike, having previously owned an R1 and enjoying the smooth power delivery.

My last bike was an Aprilia Tuono which was good but the lack of wind protection and bolt upright riding position took the edge off the riding, and in all honesty, I could just do with a change. I have always liked the Fazer and by all accounts it appears to be a very capable machine.

So here I am now on the hunt for one, willing to spend between 2 - 3k although the closer to 2 the better ? I'm looking for a reasonably well sorted one with good service history. Checking all the usual places, eBay, bike trader, gumtree, mcn and the for sale section here, but if you hear of anything going through the grapevine please let me know.

Thanks very much and I look forward to some Fazer shopping!

Mark

Hi,

Relatively new to bikes.  Been commuting on a Honda NSR125R for the past couple or three years but got my A license in December 2015 yet it's taken me this long to get round to buying a bigger bike.

Anyways, just bagged myself a 2004 FZS1000.  I went to buy a CBR600F Sport but it was sold, walked out agreeing on the Fazer instead.

To say I'm a little excited for my first 'big' bike is perhaps an understatement.  Hopefully take delivery of it early next week at the latest after it's been serviced, MOT'd and a little niggle sorted.

Last few days every time i post i get a blank page coming up with just "Unable to load the 'main' template."
My post does go through, but not in the usual way.
That's on an iPad, mobile phone and 2 x laptops, so not a hardware problem.
