Ladies and gents, boys and gals ...
I understand that there will be some machining / jiggery pokey to fit them, that both will need up-rated springs and that both are a considerable upgrade over the stock FZS600 rear shock. And while I know that some feel that the stock shock is fine with the correct spring, I like the thought of an adjustable shock.
So far the BMW is winning my vote as it's slightly longer so will jack up the rear (perfect for my streetfighter project) - whereas the R6 will lower it.
What I'm after is how their performance compares against each other: anybody got any first hand experience?

i'm replacing the ceiling in my garage. the stuff i'm ripping out is about 6mm thick and about 30yo.
anyone know what it is and what i should be replacing it with?
roof is all timber with a good felt covering so no moisture issues.
want it done as cheaply as possible as the house is sold and have agreed to replace ceiling before moving out.
TIA

Is it worth buying a used one? Or is it the kind of thing you want brand new?
I need one is all and there are a few on the bay at reasonable prices

Hi, wondering if anyone can help. I have a 2002 FZS 1000, was out in the rain yesterday (if it makes a difference) when I wiped it off and put away noticed a tail light bulb gone. Got bulb this morning and replaced it (fiddly bloody job, not easy for my sausage fingers) now I have both light bulbs on but brake light stays on too so very bright tail light! Occasionally the lights flicker on and off. Is this an earthing problem, where is the earth for the lights? Many thanks

Helped Flooky to carry out a straightforward fork oil change today. However after filling the leg with the recommended 435cc of 5w and doing the necessary pumping to expel any air, the air gap was nowhere near the prescribed 140mm, more like 80mm, which to attain the correct air gap would have meant removing a high percentage of oil. I checked with a Yamaha dealership who agreed with my capacity/air gap dimensions. We decided to forego attaining the air gap and reassembled the forks. I've never encountered this problem before, as, having the proper air gap tool, you can normally slightly overfill the leg and suck out the excess oil to achieve the necessary gap. All suggestions greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance folks.
