Help with chain & sprockets replacement, Surrey - canni - 26-10-16 Hey all, all my previous bikes where a shaft driven, so I have literally no idea about chains ![]() Anyone fancy joining & helping me with replacing chain & sprockets, I really would like to learn how I can do this myself, but I'm a bit scared about messing things up, based only on youtube vids... Surely I can provide some hospitality ann/or payment for the brave soul ![]() Location: Woking in Surrey Re: Help with chain & sprockets replacement, Surrey - BBROWN1664 - 26-10-16 Whos Ann? Where can we see pictures of her? :pokefun Re: Help with chain & sprockets replacement, Surrey - canni - 26-10-16 Obviously I meant *and/or ![]() ![]() Re: Help with chain & sprockets replacement, Surrey - BBROWN1664 - 28-10-16 Cant help myself but the hardest part of the job is getting the old chain off and re-joining the new chain. Personally, without the right tools, I would give this job to a local dealer. For a recommendation try T Northeasts in Horley. Re: Help with chain & sprockets replacement, Surrey - canni - 28-10-16 Yeah, I suppose this'd be over my abilities anyway ![]() Re: Help with chain & sprockets replacement, Surrey - tommyardin - 28-10-16 (26-10-16, 06:08 PM)canni link Wrote: Obviously I meant *and/or What! The biggest PITA I found was actually getting the rear wheel back in place so I could put the axle through (took me bloody ages and repeated attempts before I got it sorted!) If you talk nicely to the garage they may let you record them doing the job and talk you through what's happening. |
