Focer Font of Knowledge Now TV Box - fazersharp - 26-10-16 Has anyone got one of the new "BlacK" ones, not the more expensive smart one but the standard one. I am trying to find out if it has a guide that shows what is on across all the catchups all in one place or do I have to go to each of the separate players - itv player etc to then see what's on there. Re: Focer Font of Knowledge Now TV Box - mickvp - 26-10-16 I have a roku which is the same sort of idea and you need to go into each of them individually. I would imagine the now tv box and all the other ones with "apps" are the same. Re: Focer Font of Knowledge Now TV Box - darrsi - 26-10-16 I use my Android phone for tv shows and films now, i rarely watch mainstream tv. All gets beamed to my tv using Showbox, CartoonHD, etc, via wifi and costs bugger all. ![]() Re: Focer Font of Knowledge Now TV Box - fazersharp - 26-10-16 Ok thanks I have just been in curys and there was a now tv guy there so was able to have a good play. No one stop guide as such but it has a screen with all the main players down the left and 11 highlighted programs from each scrollable to the right so not quite a guide but at least a quick way if you are lucky enough that the program you want is there, if not then its off to the apps to find it. Trying to decide between this and a Youview box, already have bbc iplayer on the tv but want the other players too and maybe the occasional sky a couple of months at a time. Bennetts renewal looking the cheapest - but premium has increased 25% since last year! They want £100, without breakdown cover. A sign of getting old is when the renewal is the cheapest option. A sign of getting old is just posting wherever you feel like it. It doesn't matter though, we all know what you're on about. :thumbup :lol Re: Focer Font of Knowledge Now TV Box - robbo - 27-10-16 We post where we like We post where we like We're old and senile We post where we like. This would only appeal to any football fans reading this.Couldn' resist it and apologies to non footie fans. Re: Focer Font of Knowledge Now TV Box - alan sherman - 28-10-16 I wondered where that went! I did have a landmark birthday recently. Re: Focer Font of Knowledge Now TV Box - fazersharp - 28-12-16 Thought that I should update this. I did get one and used a free 14 day sky movies trial and then brought 2 months of movies in the black Friday deal for £5. And still have the 2 month pass that came in the box. My verdict is that the interface is very smooth and quick to load when compared to my smart tv and iplayer on my bluray player, we only really got it for the catchups so the movies are a bonus, the quality of the stream is pretty good even on my 55 incher but what lets it down is that it is not in surround sound, also once that you have had a good bindge on the movies we struggle to find anything we want to watch, so I think the best option is to only pay for the movies every 4 months or so and watch all the good stuff that has been dripped on in that time all in one go.
