Scottoiler positioning on swing arm gen 1
Posted by: The Yooge - 10-11-16, 07:19 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (3)

Have read a lot of posts and seen pics of scottoilers all over the place but how tf does the tube position on the swingarm?
Have seen zip ties (ugly) holes drilled (there is a drain hole right where I'd like to tap into) the kit (which wasn't free) from Scottoiler suggests running it off the chain guard rear bolt but it's too far from bottom of sprocket and a few bends in the way.
Anyone got the best solution?

New inlet rubber for the carburetors
Posted by: Bimbam - 09-11-16, 08:10 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (54)

Hi
Does anybody know an internet shop where I can buy the four inlet rubber for the carburetors?(Position 1 +2)

The original spare part is way too expensive.

  Stuttering FZS600 (sorry)
Posted by: Djxinator - 09-11-16, 07:38 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (20)

So I understand that this won't be foc-u's first rodeo with stuttering FZS600s...

I've seen a lot of threads and I'd like a list of possible causes and solutions. I've trawled the threads and found loads of stuff but if I were to try it all I would be here for a year (I only ride bikes, and this is my only functional bike right now so I don't have a car to fall back on)

Standard issue, works fine with feathering the throttle but as soon as I try to give it full beans I get the dreaded splutter until higher revs and then it bursts into life suddenly.

I wonder if its something as simple as it being 1-2 degrees outside and my journey to work is only 2 miles?

Thanks in advance.

Clutch mod FZ6 S2 2009/ GIPRO gear indicator
Posted by: agricola - 08-11-16, 06:38 PM - Forum: FZ6 / Fazer - Replies (4)

Wow. Cant believe its been that long since Ive been on here. Anyhow, apologies for that. Ive completed the clutch mod that involved making and fitting a longer lever at the case end, and it works a treat for me, meaning the clutch action is a lot lighter and does not cramp me hand when in traffic. Ive also fitted a GIPRO X Type gear indicator, which once the installation was finished, has worked fine. A word of caution though for anyone wishing to undertake the same, there is VERY little room in the loom for splicing in the connectors, so only tug at the wires VERY carefully. Incidentally, took the bike to Donington Park beginning of October for a trackday. Went with the novice group, what a hoot, great fun, counldnt fault the bike

  high beam problem
Posted by: TOADY - 08-11-16, 02:26 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (10)

it would appear that i have some kind of intermittent fault, sometimes high beam and pass light works, some times it doesn't, is this a common thing with fzs600 or do i just need to silicone spray the living knackers out of the connectors?

  Hello foc-ers.

Hello All,

First post here - I'm based in Wiltshire and I have a 2008 FZ1N which I've owned for a year. I ride all year round and I've done a track-day on it at Silverstone.

Loving the bike, done a good few mods already and have more in the pipeline!

Trump or Clinton - The final countdown
Posted by: BBROWN1664 - 08-11-16, 10:35 AM - Forum: General - Replies (45)

Whilst it shouldn't make much difference to us who wins, it will.

Both are so old they should be barred from taking office in my view.

That said, if Trump gets in, I can see America spiralling downwards and potentially the start of a full scale World War. If Clinton gets in I suspect things will be better but Trump wont take it lying down.

Hey
I am helping my brother to remove the carburetors for cleaning and new o-rings.

Is there any easy way to remove the carbs?
