  New (potential owner) from Essex/Suffolk

Hi all,

Been on the lookout for a Fazer 1000 for a while now and there are some amazing examples on this site. I've been lurking for the last couple of months and after having just sold my VFR I'm now on the lookout for a good example.

Previous bikes have been a GS500, 03 ZX6R and the now sold VFR750. Looking for a change to a sporty upright with plenty of grunt and the Fazer seems to fit the bill perfectly. Hopefully I'll be joining the fold properly in the next few weeks and looking forward to getting involved and providing the much needed pics!

Appreciate any advice you might have while I'm on the hunt, seems there's loads of good bikes out there and just a case of finding the right one for me.

  WANTED: FZS1000 Fazer 1000
Posted by: JonnyFoxtrot - 29-11-16, 03:29 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (12)

Hi all,

Have been lurking around for the past couple of months after deciding to swap my VFR for a Fazer and with the VFR selling this week I'm finally in a position to jump ship.

I'm considering any examples of FZS1000 though the more sorted mod wise the better as I'll only likely be looking to do most of them at some point anyway. Lower mileage also better but again will consider most things. I did have a persuasion towards black frame/black engine models but once again for the right bike at the right price I'd consider other.

I had been in contact with a couple of members with some lovely examples but unfortunately the VFR sale left me slightly under budget so realistically I'm looking to spend as little as possible and certainly under £2000 at the moment, so if you have any Christmas bargains to go again let me know!

Thanks in advance, hopefully I'll be joining the fold soon!

No longer Wanted Givi Wingrack fitting kit for 2002 Fzs 600
Posted by: Carlsv8 - 28-11-16, 09:47 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - No Replies

Got one, I'd remove the advert if I knew how.
Givi Wingrack and fitting kit, or just a fitting kit, for a 2002 Foxeye 600 or a Sw Motech pannier rail set.
. I live in North East England..
Cheers

  FZ1 Gen 2 shock change
Posted by: FZ1obp - 28-11-16, 09:40 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (9)

Help!
Blown the rear shock on the 2009 FZ1 - only used for commuting so at 43,000 miles seems quite low mileage but then the roads are pretty bumpy....

Anyway got a second hand one on ebay 11,000 miles (as new one £ lots) but not too sure how to undo the top bolt and what needs to be removed so that the bolt can withdraw about 50 mm on the rhs. Is it easier to loosen the subframe?
Removing the bottom brackets and dropping the shock looks ok if I can jack it up to get enough clearance or over the pit.

Any help gratefully received.

Many thanks

Kodi TV boxes - Anyone got one?

Just got myself one of these things and added the Areswizard app to it.
Seems to be able to watch most hacked TV for free as well as many of the latest films.

If I get a month or two out of it before Virgin media cotton on to these devices and block the connections to the streaming sites, I will have got my £30 worth.

This little clip, pretty well defines the difference between picky picky women shoppers , and the Lets get it done male shopper.
