2002 FZS1000 Ignition switch options?

Yesterday my 2002 came the closest yet to stranding me, in 14 years of ownership, when the ignition switch decided to fall apart on top of a cloud covered mountain. A roadside bodge got me home but the switch has had its day, I've certainly lost confidence in trying to fix it given my 9yo is on the back more often than not.
So I look for a spare. P/N is 5LV-82501-00-00 (2 way + 5 way female connectors), and there seems to be nothing out there unless I want to spill 500 notes out of the wallet :eek Even ebay has nothing second hand.
So in the absence of OEM, has anyone found an alternative or an aftermarket part that fits the yoke correctly and is as near as dam-it, that the wiring can be modified to make it work as intended. I'm handy with electrical work but would like something that is as neat as possible and does not shout "rat bike" when you look at it.
That said..... any options considered.

Coolant pipes where they enter engine.

On top of the engine where the metal coolant pipes enter, the tubes they go through are always full of water (not coolant). Should there be a drain here somewhere? Every time I wash the bike I find myself stuffing the tubes full of tissue to dry them out. I would hate for one of the pipes to rust through.

Low compression on one cylinder.

Hello,
The bike runs, but the idle is jumping a bit and it drinks oil a bit.
I did the compression cold and the PSI is about 100,150,150,160. After adding oil it went up to 170,180,180,190.
I'm thinking about changing the piston rings with the engine in the bike. Is that possible? If not I will have to remove the engine.
Could the piston rings fail just after 30k miles? Best place to get the piston rings just for one cylinder? A piston ring compressor would be useful, should I get 2 or 4?
I did rebuild the Honda 125cc engine, so I know the basics. Hopefully, the 4 cylinder won't be a pain in the ass.
Would I need some special socket the remove the engine bolts?

Headlights Not Working

The headlights on my 2002 FZS600 have recently stopped working.
The sidelights work, and the flash to pass lever works for the main beam - but I have no dipped or main beam using the toggle switch on the RHS bar.
The dimmer switch on the LHS bar does nothing either.
Any ideas?

98 boxeye harsh clutch

Hello,
98 boxeye with 44.000miles on the clock.
I think something is not ok with the clutch. When I change gear I have to feather the clutch a lot to have a more "smooth" feeling on the gear train.
It's a very harsh/snappy engagement!
Clutch cable is tuned ok, new transmission, +/-3cm chain slack (almost touching the rubber).
Maybe a outer basket notched?
