FZS600 Delkevic tri-oval silencer and link pipe
Posted by: peteski - 29-03-18, 02:10 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

I have for sale a Delkevic end can and link pipe to the fzs600. All stainless and in extremely good condition, no dents or scratches. It's done around 5000 miles but after a clean it's come up like new.
It's the 320mm tri-oval type. Looks and sounds great. Has a removable baffle but it's a bit too loud without it in my opinion. Includes link pipe, hanger and everything you'll need to fit it. Have a look at the photo's, you'll see it's in great condition.

Open to offers.
Postage will be around £9 but can also be collected from CB23.

Boxeye Headlights- fitting additional lighting- 12V LED spots x2 or HID?
Posted by: hopefiendboy - 29-03-18, 10:54 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

Hi All

Another day closer to getting my FZS600!!

Its a yr 2000 Boxeye that has had the double headlight mod done on it, but even then I know that the lighting is not the best on these models. It will be fitted with engine bars and this will provide a handy mounting point for some auxilliary lighting. I was thinking of some 12v LED spotlights (have some for my MTB for nighttime riding and they are pretty decent) and just wondered it

A. anyone else had done this
B. What cheap Chinese LED lights they would recommend?

Or alternatively could install a HID kit to the bike.

Open to your experiences and suggestions!

Cheers

Paul

  Bigger front sprocket
Posted by: fordlatch41 - 28-03-18, 05:52 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (43)

I have just upgraded the front sprocket on my 2001 to a 16 tooth item, also upgraded to the 12mm thick nut and new lock washer as it still had the old 9mm nut fitted, the vibration at 70 mph was driving me mad which is why I decided to change the sprocket. So now it revs at about 700 rpm lower, doesn't seem to have affected the performance by much if any, but now is super smooth up to almost 80 mph. Just thought I would put it out there chaps.

Hi folks! Back on the Fazer600 roundabout again!
Posted by: hopefiendboy - 28-03-18, 03:45 PM - Forum: Introduction - No Replies

Hi All

After having a Fzs600 as my first big bike, and having a few inbetween, I find myself almost in possession of another one, this time a 2000 FZS600 SP from a friend who is unable to ride at the moment due to family commitments!!....
Here she is! Needs an MOT,full service and a bit of TLC after having been lying in a garage for years (only 1200 miles in the last 5 years!) Started on the button tho, so that is a good sign!

Posted by: Marc M - 27-03-18, 11:03 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (3)

Hi all, just joined the gang? had a wee look a few times, and decided to join in.
Been riding since Oct 2016, on a 2009 FZ6 S2. First bike, never been into bikes that much, then just decided to get out on two wheels. I’m loving every minute of it, wish I’d done it years ago. Learning something new every ride, mostly out myself? but happy enough with that. Live just north of Glasgow.  Love Glencoe and anywhere in north west highlands. Don’t know too much about bikes, but I’m learning as I go along.
Looking forward to joining in the chat, and maybe catch up with members at some point.
Cheers for now ?
