Help required my Meta 357T V2 has stopped working
Posted by: mobile mouse - 04-01-13, 09:51 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (10)

Hi,
I would like a little help, please.

My meta 357tv2 alarm which was fitted with the bike brand new in 2003, has stopped working.
I have the red key card with the 2 codes.

[color=rgb(34, 34, 34)]It looks to be completely shut down no led, indicators do not flash, no beeps nothing. If I disconnect the battery
when reconnect it still doesn't work. The bike has been on an optimate in the garage all over the Christmas period.
The alarm has probably gone into sleep mode but it will not wake up.One thing I did check the fuse all ok, but when I reconnect the fuse the alarm sounder makes a crackle noise. I can only assume the internal battery is low.

Can I measure this voltage from the fuse connector to ground. Could the connector onto the alarm have corroded contacts it is mounted under the tail light bracket.
The connector onto the alarm has what looks like security screws is there two.
What are my options,  Sad . I need first to try and get the alarm working or bypassed so I can get it replaced or fixed if it's a corroded connector.

Does anyone have the bypass pin out diagram for the connector so I can bypass.

One other note: The fob batteries are the original not had any problems ever. But aside from the alarm if I changethe fob battery will the fob still be recognised by the alarm.

I'm new to the smart phone world.
The latest FastBikes mag has listed some biker apps.
I've tried Diablo Super Biker today, you get speed, lean angle and route etc, seems good fun, although the bikes unwell so I tried it in the car got 12 degrees of lean apparently  :eek
Anyone one else know of any good ones.

  Scottoiler placement
Posted by: Topcat2006 - 04-01-13, 02:25 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (19)

Hi All,

I fitted a scottoiler to my 2002 fazer 1000 and followed scottoiler's suggested placement.

I'm not happy with where it is and since I'm in the process of refurbishing my swingarm have decided to look at refitting it.

Has anyone put the oiler anywhere other than under the seat and different placement of the injection nozzle.  I'm thinking of placing it on the front sprocket and have done some searching on the forum where people have talked about doing it but cannot find any info as to if its worked or not.

Has any got any advice and most importantly some pictures :-)

Thanks

Tom

  Touring in Sweden
Posted by: FuZzBoM - 04-01-13, 08:29 AM - Forum: General - Replies (14)

I am planning a  trip away with  few buddies. one of he party is really keen to go to Sweden. Has anyone been before and give some experiences on road conditions, weather, best time to go, frequency of petrol stations etc.

It does look an amazing place to go to but I am worried about the fazers 200 mile-ish range on  tank. The bloke who is keen has a 1200GS adventure with about a 400 mile range so I doubt it will be an issue to him...

Any thoughts appreciated.

  Scottoiler oil
Posted by: Lawrence - 03-01-13, 10:50 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (8)

Just fitted a Scottoiler to my bike.  It came with a 250ml bottle of oil but given that it should last ~500-800 miles to a fill that'll last me about 5 weeks.  Is Scottoil stuff the only stuff to use or are there other things that are the same?  I remember someone mentioning chainsaw oil, is there any particular type?

Ta very much Smile
