Hi,
Classic not thinking and rushing in to quickly test something.
I Tried to test the front brake lever switch wiring this morning.....
Switched electrics on (turn key to ON) and tested back brake, tail lights up.
Tested front brake, no tail light. So...
Pulled off connectors and proceded to put a wire loop in too light the tail light.......
BUT forgot to switch OFF electrics, first. I put the test loop into the +ve first by mistake (not the bulb side) and the other end touched the chrome handlebars....Poof..
As a result, I have NO headlights now. Also tested the back brake, no tail lights. Didn't try indicators walked away and will get back tonight.
So my first question is which fuse will have blown the fuse (head light) or fuse (signal) or a another or all.
I can test the fuse (signal) buy trying the horn as this looks to come off that circuit.
But I am a little stumped as to where the fuse (head light) is situated on the Fazer it's a MY03.
Other than the fuse box which I am a little unsure which is which fuse... I have a Haynes manual and will be looking in that tonight but any help would be appreciated.

the fuses are in the fuse box which is beside the battery. just take them out one at a time and look at them you'll see which one is blown

If it's anything like the earlier Fazer, Yamaha will have made it easy for you and labelled the fuse positions in the box.
Sounds like a 20A headlight fuse might be the one that went pop.

Exact same thing happened me when testing the circuit for the rear light, wire got corroded and bad contacts, blew 4 20a in a row by letting the power wire slip and hot the frame, bear in mind this also knocks out the neutral light!!. On my 99 it's the 2nd last fuse on the exhaust side of the fuse box.,
