Hi, I own a '99 fzs 600 and for the last 3 years have enjoyed riding it. My only gripe is having to rev the nuts off it to get away from a standstill.
The bike has full service history up to 24000 mls and has now just passed 29000 mls.
Can anybody tell me what I should be doing for its 28000 mls service, I have replaced chain and sprockets and stripped and greased up the swing arm linkage. Brakes are spot on, very little play in the headstock. Engine starts and runs sweet although there is a slight tappety noise on start up. :rolleyes

What plug is recommended for a 98 FZS600 Mk1?  NGK CRE9E or CRE8E?

Mine is a candy red bike, anyone want to swap their panels and tank etc?

I fancy blue or grey.

Hi there,more questions  :rolleyes , does anyone know how to remove the parking bulb, I know how to get to it but do you just pull it out or do you need to turn and pull,I dont want to damage it,cheers Steve

afternoon.

had an off just before christmas in which i required screwing back together. ( if ya interested the x-rays are in the "picture challenge bit" in the general section ) 

anyways, i finally got to see the bike today & see what state its in. i knew one of the casing was cracked as there was oil all over the road. i thought it was the clutch cover but it turns out it wasnt. it was the one in front which sticks out. ( ive not really taken much notice of how the engine looked ) :\

my question is, what that casing called? ive tried googling it & ebay as i need to replace it but ive no joy in indentifing what its called. i would of looked it up in my haines manual but ive seemed to of hiden it somewhere. :o

anyone know what its called?

Mrs Robbie sends me text saying that her car wouldn't start this morning so had to use her mums car, can I ring her to help
so been the dutiful husband rang her and asked what is wrong with it
"Dunno, it wont start! I turn the key and it just goes tintintintink!"

I work 240 miles away n she is going "tintintintink" down the phone to me, I said "go out to the car so I can at least hear it!"
"oh thats at home I've gone round to my mates for a coffee what do you think is wrong with it?" I get told
she said that she going to call in the garage on way home, which is 250 yds up the road and explain the noise to them!

it's a '98 toyota picnic with 170k on the clock that cost me £900 2 years ago so dont wanna be paying out loads to get it fixed!, I'm thinking its the starter motor if it anything else I'll see what other cars are out there atm get it started this weekend then drive to look at them & if we see sommat then PX theren then if not i'll tow it with my car few miles from home then call AA lol
