Here is the full list of what's left in my garage. I'm not really into selling bits and pieces which will make hardly any money or wrapping and posting so most of this stuff won't be showing up on ebay.
Posting here as a thank you to all the foccers that helped me out over the years and because I remember how hard some of it was to find. And because I remember how much fun it was turning this great bike into my dream bike. Would prefer collection for the bulkier / heavier items. Options are: - Bracknell: Evenings and weekends
- London (Blackfriars): Workdays - only if it will fit in my new top box or backpack.
- Nottingham: Going there next weekend and you can either collect on the weekend or I can leave with my in-laws if you pay up front.
Not interested in haggling over prices (unless otherwise stated) so make me a reasonable offer for the stuff you want. Here's the list- Clear indicator lenses: Screw on replacements for the OE ones, condition as new, you will need orange bulbs - ideally chromed.
- OE tail light cluster. Good condition, everything works including the bulbs.
- Rentech grab rail. Bought new, used once
- Quill titanium evo 2 can with link pipe and hanger and partial blue tint. Won't sell for less than £150 (plus P&P) as I will keep for new bike if it doesn't go. Approx 3 years old - no dents or scratches.
- Nitron Race Shock. 3 way adjustable + height adjustable. Approx 6000 miles. Sprung for 17 stone rider. Won't accept less than £300 (plus P&P) - this will go on ebay.
- OE rear seat cowl. Previous owner told me it was scratched and I found one on ebay before I saw it. Condition is reasonable, I personally wouldn't paint it unless I wanted a mint bike.
- TCP solo seat cowl. Good condition but paint flaking at edges - personally I would paint it.
- Kappa 52 litre top box + monokey mounting plate. Only one key - no leaks, condition fair (been in almost daily use for 6 years)
- Givi top box mounting plate - the other type
- Radiator shrouds: Good condition but paint flaked on one
- Speedo cluster: Approx 22k miles everything works, good condition but missing surround on rev counter
- Fast blue grab rails: Good condition
- Standard screen: Good condition
- Unknown DB screen: small crack. Its the one I used daily
- MRA vario screen: Bought new, used for a week
- Pair of shorter dogbones

How the hell do I get to it on a fox eye model, I've lifted the tank taken the batt and side panels off, but wtf is going on? Is the sun getting to me and am I missing something obvious or is it really a pain in the butt?

| Exhaust stud removal |

I've got my exhaust off at the moment
Fortunately no problems at all getting it off. Some of the studs are a little rusty but nothing serious.
New Motad exhaust fits perfectly.
I've got some stainless studs to replace the originals with so I don't have to worry about studs snapping in future.
Unfortunately can't get the originals out!
Using the two nut trick, the nuts just slip no matter how tight I do them up. But I get the feeling it's mangling either the nuts or the studs so I don't want to push it in case I mangle the studs and can't get them out.
Any tips?

Just off to the dentist this morning and suddenly everyone on the dual carriageway in front of me slammed on the anchors.
I pulled out to overtake and then saw some village people on the other side of the road in hi-viz.
One pointed an old fashioned radar gun at the SIDE of my car as I passed, so presumably got a reading of O miles/hour?
I'm sure they think they are useful but IMHO they are likely to cause a serious accident as drivers over react to their presence. :eek

Hi All, just checking the front sprocket on my bike and all seems to be well. There is a dotpunch mark on the gear shaft which tells me its been off to do the mod but how will I know??? How deep is the new nut compared to the old one? And the lock tab has been bent over in two positions telling me that thats extra security after a fix.
Thanks guys Buck

My mate just bought a fazer 1000 gen 1 from barnowl, as it was advertised with a low mileage, new oil and filter and service to exup valve, so i sent him to England to pick it up. He contacted me not far from where he bought the bike to tell me there was a 7000rpm fault code. I told him the exup valve must be sticking. He brought the bike round tonight, so i could free off the valve, but it was seized solid. I removed the valve with the housing attached and soaked in penetrating fluid. It wouldn't rotate, so i used a blow torch more penetrating fluid, freeze spray, rubber mallet, but it wouldn't budge a mm. The valve and the housing plate are totally fused together. Any suggestions to getting it free from the housing plate? Can i drill out the collar between the valve and the housing plate, so it will seperate and buy a new collar?
