| 1st/2nd not snicking in/out of gear smoothly - Clutch drag? |

Morning
Changing up and down from 1st or 2nd sometimes requires a more pressure on the lever - as in the lever is pushed meets resistance, keep pushing and its goes into the gear. I have stubby lever on and I am wondering if they are poor machined to the fulcrum/cable position isn't the same as a stock lever.
The following has already been done to the bike -
- due to the friction plates needing replacing and because I had a spare clutch basket & metal c/plates - I replaced the entire clutch.
- adjusted the drive chain to 40mm slack as per manual.
- adjusted clutch lever free play to 3mm, biting point is about 1 inch from the bar.
And lastly is it normal for this bike when coasting along that with the clutch fully disengaged (lever in) and the throttle blipped that I can hear what sounds like the clutch partially spinning, making a clunk etc?
Any help or pointers appreciated, before the local mechanic takes it for a spin and has a look.

What's the furthest anyone's ridden their Fazer in one go then?
Mine was Fort William to London, including a circuit of Ben Lawers. Survived on coffee and painkillers (due to reconstructed shoulder) - not recommended! Can't remember what mileage total that was though. By the time I got home, I was hallucinating police sirens!

So, how do we beat the dreaded numb bum - 250 miles on a Fazer has not been pleasant today. Are those gel seat covers actually a useful investment or are they a cop out?

Help my boy has taken to coming down stairs in the middle of the night 4AM ish
he is not realy awake but also not sleep , Its not realy a problem when he walks around up stairs but we dont want him going down stairs
I am trying to find a pir senor with a remote sounder box !1 but two things
One, it must have a volume control , Two, it must be battery powered for the senor at least
we have tried a few other things such as pressure pads but it works for s short while but even in his half awake state he gets around them
I have searched google , maplins and a few other places but with nothing realy suitable .
