Hi guys, Just showing off my latest project.
Its goign to be a Fazer with a round lamp and R1 forks. Got some parts today.

Unfortunately, i Don't think the actual front end swap will be until next month. I need more parts and the wheel need either coating or painting.
Here is how the bike stands now.
The round lamp is only temporary, Its the wrong beam pattern, therefore wont pass the MOT. So when i do the swap to usd, i'll be buying a bandit lamp.
I bolted the Speedo also to the lamp bowl, Temporary again, i'm buying the proper bracket for it.

The speedo is a KOSO xr-sr-n, The fazer speedo would not work with the R1 front end, as the wheel doesn't have a drive, This speedo takes the reading from small magnets inside the disc bolts. (Either front or back, even the sprocket)
It has a rev counter, But it's in number format and doesn't seem as 'instant' as the actual dial.

The clocks are great, As long as you have a wiring diagram to hand for the bike. A bonus too is that they come with a variable water temp sensor to replace the switch type in the water system.
Will update as more stuff happens.
Cheers
Tom

Before it's put it on ebay/classifieds I thought I'd flag this up in case anyone is after one. It's a 1986 in white, it's on Sorn but it's running and doesn't need anything major doing as far as I know. If anyone is interested I'll put up pictures this week with more details and price. The bike is in Essex if you wanted to view.

Just to be clear, both lights came on when I was pressing the passing light, with the full beam switch to on. Erm nothing comes on with the light switch.
Horn seems to be a bit iffy at the moment too.

| Carb sync take-off size? |

I want to make up my own carb sync tool as I'm too pikey to spend lots of money on what's essentially a few bits of pipe and a couple of vacuum gauges. Anyone know what size pipe will go straight onto the vacuum take-off points on the carbs?
Ta very much :thumbup

Howdy folks,
The names Jason. I'm a yank that has lived in the UK for 10 years now.
A few years ago I got tired of walking everywhere, went and got a little 125cc and started exploring English roads. Last August I finally moved up to a real bike. I found a 4th hand, 2000, Fazer 600 with 19000m on it. She has served me well. I've been commuting 200 miles a week and loving it. Made for an interesting winter.
I'm learning about my bike and how to take care of her. I've had the chain and sproket replaced, and recently the down pipes. Today she gets a treat, I have to change the oil so I've got her some full synth. I would really like to do more of the maintenance my-self, but I do not have the tools, space in the car park, or experience to do a lot of it. Damn glad I found this forum. I will probably be asking a few dumb questions from time to time, but I don't really care if you point and laugh. :b
