Just took the car in for a service today. Went to pick it up, taken through the bill, no nasty surprises, about the cost I expected, all seemed good. Driving away though, to find it's running on 3 (4 cyl car). So I take it straight back. Probably a dodgy new spark plug, they say, handing me the keys to a courtesy car. Sorry, no one available to look at it straight away (!).
Now, having worked in the bike trade for some time, I have seen this happen before. Judging by the way they immediately suspected a dodgy new plug, it seems that it must happen a fair bit (although not confirmed yet). On the car, they used Ford plugs, so don't know who the actual manufacturer is. So why did the cynic in me immediately think, bet they're made in China now? Not entirely fair probably, but it got me to wondering just how common is this these days? How many of you have had this happen? (car or bike). And is it a more recent phenomenon, or has this always been quite a common thing?

I cant find a post. I am 12 stone dead. how much will it cost to get my rear end done. I have had it from new and 26,000 miles later it must be due. I had my front end done by a bloke called daren. really sorted me out up the mct place. he said my rear is floppy. I don't want to pay the earth, but I do like it firm. any ideas please?

Orange have transferred my account to paperless billing without telling me , which I found out when I phoned to enquire where my bill for January was .
Just spent ages registering , tells me account opened , then when I try to log in they say details don't match , so I still can't see my flaming bill.
Also had another phone on my account for my daughter , when her contract ran out , we arrange to transfer the new contract to her so she could build up her credit history , guess what they even cocked that up , apparently the transfer team didn't complete the transfer .
Needless to say ,when my contract runs out , they can stick it up there arse , I will be going pay as u go , also there coverage is crap .
Rant over
