  Paint colour codes/suppliers
Posted by: ajmes1 - 27-01-14, 07:55 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

Evening all,

After repairing the fairing on my yellow/black 2002 fox eye 600, I'm now after somewhere to buy the paint from to re-spray it.

I don't know if the person doing it would be using a sprayer or a can (as he is a known dad hand with both!!) but I need to supply the paint.

So, in the vast knowledge that lies here, would anyone know the right colour code and/or a reputable company that can supply said paint? Based up in north yorks but with the power of the internet etc.! I'll confirm sprayer/ can ASAP.

Hi all

All mot's to prove mileage and dealer service history. I would describe its condition as very very good. If i knew how to post pictures I would post them and you could agree with me. Looking for £1500 ovno. If you want photos pm me and I will email them to you. Thanks for looking.

PS Thanks Christo. Just tried it and it appears to work.  Tank cover not included in sale.

Don't suppose anyone has a Yamaha comfort seat they are looking to sell. Or if you can point me to somewhere I can buy one. Local dealer just gave me a blank look.

  The great/rubbish light debacle...
Posted by: dcurzon - 27-01-14, 04:03 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (96)

FZS600 headlights. Rubbish!  Sharks, Great!
So having dabbled with setting the rhs to do dual beam, then upgrading the halogens to Osram Nightbreaker, then moving to HID, i'm still not moved by the headlights.  Whilst so far, HID has been the best of the bunch, the light is rather spattered everywhere with very little control.
So i bought a spare headlamp assembly, with the intention to start trying projectors.  I spoke to a company in the Netherlands about a loom, and they think that good projectors wont fit without a little modification to the headlamp.  So i've sent them the headlamp.  They are going to do the fitting including any modifications that need to be made.  This way, they can offer a kit complete with any modifications, specifically for the 98-02 box eye.
Mistake #1.  Box was a little large and i got clobbered on the postage as it put the weight to just over 2kg.  Under 2kg would have been much cheaper.

Anyhow, if you want to see sme of their work, this is a z750-z1000 headlamp that they had to make a custom kit for:
Kawasaki Z750 (07-12) Z1000 (07-09) Bi xenon projector retrofit Mini H1

Step 1 completed - Send headlamp unit away.

  FOUND blue grab bar FZS600
Posted by: AndyL - 27-01-14, 03:09 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

I'm looking a grab bar as someone has agreed to sell me a wingrack if I can replace the bar. The bike's a 2003 model and the colour looks a bit different to my 01 bike.
Rear indicators may also be handy.

EDIT: I have now bought one, thanks
