So, just had the insurance renewal quote through from Bennets for the fzs600... They quoted me £250, I had a look around online and found it for quite a lot cheaper so phoned and suddenly they can do it for £213, still too much I said so looked around again and got the same cover from Bike sure for £144!!
I'm 26, fully comp, 4 years NCB, covers me to ride other bikes 3rd party, all mods declared, legal cover and helmet and leather cover. Very helpful on the phone and it was a uk call centre which is definitely a good thing.
Always worth phoning when you get a renewal quote as they can always do it cheaper!

Changed front sprocket back to stock 16T plus new DID chain 2000kms ago but today when rolling to a stop to park killing the engine noticed louder than normal chain noise.
When I changed over to the new I adjusted chain tension using a vernier calliper for alignment which did not result in exact swing arm notch alignment. I have read before that this is a better method over relying on the factory marked alignment marks.
So today I adjusted chain tension using the swing arm alignment marks as it had been issue free before with regards to front sprocket L side wear.
Is this a known for the Gen 1 Thou I wonder?
ie vernier or swing arm marks for wheel alignment?

Right, grumpy hat on.
Can you smart arses please stop banging on about the car on every single fucking thread? I am not off Fazers by choice, off bikes even less so, so having you buggers bringing it up the whole time is getting slightly more than tedious.
Not only that, it's pissing other people off too. Every thread I visit now gets hijacked, to the annoyance of the OP and those following it seriously. If nothing else, it isn't fair on them.
Let's keep the car to the "Whatever else" thread, and if you can't resist making a witty quip, make it here instead. Or foc off.
Love yas!

Is there anyone in Essex (or nearby) who could store a non-running Fazer for me for a few months? I've found an absolute hound on Ebay (with thanks to Bigsteve), and I need a place to put it until I can get it back to France as a project bike.
Cheers!

I still really miss my Fazer. And as I'm off bikes for a while due to Mum, new avenues have been opened (e.g., get a real hound and fix up / mod it till I can ride it! :lol ). This is a bit optimistic, I guess, but does anyone have / know of an absolute hound they would sell for under £100? I could take an engine & various bits, as I still have a frame.
I just want another Fazer...
Thanks!
Christo
