  Suggest a tent
Posted by: hightower - 24-04-14, 08:31 AM - Forum: General - Replies (22)

Ok, so I need a tent I can use for rallies - looking for something compact (to be able to fit on bike with pillion, pans and so forth). Compact is probably priority 1. Priority 2 is money - don't fancy paying any more than £40. Yes, I am tight.

Third priority is it would be good if it has some storage space etc, to be able to put kit so we're not sleeping on top of it.

Recommendations please.

Posted by: HaVoC - 23-04-14, 10:58 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (6)

I'm wanting to put a fazer thou rear caliper (blue spot) on a fzs600, I've got one on the way to me from the states, the question is do I need to get a fazer thou torque arm and whats required to mount it and the caliper? Apologies as I know this has been discussed a million times before but I've just spent a good half hour looking though this forum for a guide!

Big thanks to CRH and another 33bhp question
Posted by: yoyo - 23-04-14, 10:24 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (4)

Need to say a massive thank you to CRH for sending out some 33bhp washers so I can get the Mrs on the road ASAP, I'll make sure I pass them on to someone just as needing when she's done with them  Smile

The question is how the hell do you fit the washers in?! The last bike I fitted them too was a Bandit 6 there was room to move the air box back a couple of inches so there was room to move the carbs and fit the rubbers in but on the FZS there is no room at all, I had a look at the Haynes manual in the downloads section and when it started with 'remove the engine' I thought there has to be an easier way!!  Any tip or pointers?

Cheers

Advice on crack in wheel (Not a Fazer wheel, don't worry!)
Posted by: ChristoT - 23-04-14, 10:09 PM - Forum: General - Replies (7)

Evening Foccers!

As you probably know by now, I am trying to fit a VFR750 back end to my Fazer. I have been sturggling to find a wheel, but need one to fit the swingarm to the frame (a requirement of the engineering shop I'm taking it). Most of the VFR wheels on ebay are horrifically expensive (£90 for a back wheel!!), but there's this beauty (sic) which I reckon will go cheap:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-VFR-750-...461e99b5be

It's a horrible colour, it's been powdercoated and it's cracked. All no nos. But is it worth buying purely for the sake of the fitting? If so, how much, do you reckon? Or could it even be repaired and used?

Advice needed please!
