Stainless Downpipes |

So, my new Motad downpipes have arrived, and to be honest I'm quite disappointed. No doubt good quality and hopes are high they'll fit accurately, but the finish looks as if they've come straight off the welding rig and been boxed. I expected them to be all polished and shiney.
If you've fitted stainless (especially Motad), were they polished to a decent level when you bought them?
Not sure how best to finish mine, I think there's too much to do for Autosol :o
(also no gaskets/fitting kit included for £250!!)

OK so I got the thing booked in for mot today. Riding the the test centre a big rattle made itself present and I have a lot of oil being blown down the exhaust. Also a bit of white stuff in the baffle?
Gonna see if they will mot it any way now I am here. Got a big can off oil to top up for ride back.

Sudden change in clutch action |

The clutch action is noticeably lighter today and I've no idea why. It feels like I'd expect a clutch on a new bike to feel, I can operate it with one finger now. The slack and bite points are the same as they were before and driveability/useability seem unaffected too.
Last week I rode home in the snow. Yesterday I gave the bike a clean, but only a general wash down and didn't pay any particular attention to the clutch lever and haven't lubricated it.
Any ideas what's going on - it's unnerving. I don't like it when things suddenly change what they are doing.

Just a quick question for those of us that need glasses for driving.
How do you get on with then on your bike??
I have had to wear glasses as long as I've been driving and in the car I wouldn't dare drive without them but for some reason on my bike I don't seem to bother. Mainly because I couldn't fit them in my first helmet and now I'm used to not having them on.
Anyway over the winter I noticed that at nighttime I'm now borderline blind without them so have been trying contact lenses out but for the life of me cannot get on with them ??
So now I'm back to trying to wear glasses inside my helmet. I have the little grooves in this one (Shark Speed R) so they fit fine but they won't stop steaming up. Even with the visor open if I come to a standstill then within 3-4 breathes I'm completely blind. I managed to have them on for the 400 metre trip to the petrol station today then gave up completely when I tried to pull away and couldn't even see my speedometer.
I've tried some of the anti fog solutions that are designed for visors but they only seem to last a ride or 2 before losing effectiveness. I've also tried an old trick with washing up liquid with did well but didn't last more than 2 or 3 days.
So I'm guessing somebody must have some kind of solution to this that I'm not thinking of?
