GlPro Gear Indicator Up for Grabs
Posted by: tommyardin - 13-02-17, 02:38 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - No Replies

Hey! I purchased a GlPro gear indicator (Green Display to match the neutral gear light)

I had a look at fitting it today (First warm day for ages) and realised that the old arthritic wrists are not going to allow that to happen.
I can not grip and hold small parts anymore, and I know that if I try I will get frustrated and I will pay for the next few days with a load of pain and wrists in braces.
So I not going down that route, as tempting as it is.

The upshot of that is I now am the proud owner of a 'GlPro X-Type GlPRO X' that is the indicator display, and the 'GlPro X Type GPX-YO1' that is the harness for the Fazer FZS 600 this is now surplus to requirement.

I did remove both the Display and the Harness from their packaging, but it has gone back in exactly as it was, the clear screen film is still on the display, see pictures

I paid £99.99 on 7th Feb this year including P&P see picture 1 of my eBay purchase page.

If anyone interested they can have it for £50 including P&P, but remember it is a GREEN display colour.

  Hi Folks
Posted by: Darth-Fazer - 12-02-17, 09:50 PM - Forum: Introduction - Replies (5)

Hi There, I thought I would introduce myself as I am the proud owner of a Yamaha 1st gen. boxeye fazer 600 on a 99 plate.  Mine is red.  Passed my bike test just before Christmas and bought the Fazer 3 days later.  She has been a lovely ride so far.  I am thinking of taking her accross the channel this year to do some touring in Europe and possibly a bit of camping.  Looking forward to hearing from likeminds on the forums here.  Bye for now Smile

P.S. here is a picture of her.  Can't wait for some better weather so I can take some more!

  sprocket options
Posted by: Disorderlypunk - 12-02-17, 01:03 AM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (2)

some of us here may wish to change sprockets for many reason
mpg on tour = -teeth on rear (+front)
acceleration =  +teeth on rear (-front)
stunters = crazy+ teeth on the rear
of course teeth on front is 1 on front equivalent to 3 on arse
anyone know of suppliers for sprockets for fzs6 that can create a a stunt bike
my fzs600 needs a new sprocket and chain set so might as as well stunt her.

  Rear brakes on cage
Posted by: celticdog - 11-02-17, 03:22 PM - Forum: General - Replies (16)

The best pal of the missus has an old honda jazz which has been a great runner for many years, however she says that the handbrake isn't working on hills. As usual I've been volunteered (press ganged) into helping.
I took it for a run and to be honest I can't find much wrong, you can't push the car on the flat with the handbrake on but if it's on a steep hill you can. Don't get me wrong, the brake still holds. I'm beginning to think she doesn't pull up the handbreak far enough. As it's a disc pad hanbrake I'm loathe to tinker with the actual cables Anyone any ideas on the one? ta much Will
