Fork Springs upgrade advice |

Ive being doing a search on here about gen 1 fork springs / fork upgrades and it all seems well confusing as to which way to go/ which brand etc, linear or progressive
Has anyone got any recommendations which would be a good way to go with them ? I've got an R6 shock from Devilsyam on it and now want to improve the front but the budget isn't unlimited.
Can I get a decent improvement for £200-£250 ? For that I'm assuming it'll be just springs ( fitted by mechanic not me) and a change of fork oil which adds the question to what grade oil ??
Main use will be solo with a the odd touring trip with the mrs here and there and I'm no racer but like a bit of spirited riding every now and then.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated
Thanks

Hi folks,
Just signed up after buying a yr2000 600 silver with 44k to get back into biking.
It had been parked up for over 2yrs but passed test after rear caliper was had new seals. Tyres are advisory but was going to change them anyways.
You seem like a friendly bunch so looking forward to looking and posting in next few weeks as I try to get it looking less Rat bike. :rollin

Hi everyone I'm sorry if this has been asked a million time's but I'm still learning (mechanically). I'm doing some upgrades to my 2004 fazer 1000 with the help of my cousin who is a mechanical but is away abroad for the next 2 weeks. I'm going to order HEL braided brake lines and there's 2 options on their site. OEM replacements 3 front & 1 rear or full length race 2 front & 1 rear. Could anyone please advise me on the right choice to make. The full length race option is £30 cheaper but I don't want to make the wrong choice. Again sorry for my lack of knowledge I've just started taking more of an interest in the mechanical side after over 20 years riding and I'm learning from the best in your guys. Thanks for any advice!! Ian

ok foccers so I finally got out for a decent run today and saw my baby in daylight for the first time in months. I never got round to the ac50 this year and put her in the garage wet so the question is what's the best method and products to sort out the ensuing rust ?
