Oxford Aqua T50 or T30 roll bag - Cwodavids - 25-02-17
I want to buy one for commuting to work with a few days worth of clothes and a laptop but the T50 look far too big for an FZ6 and the T30 seems a bit on the small side for the amount of kit I want to carry.
Does anyone have either of them and have an opinion on pros/cons?
I am guessing the 50 and 30 litres are maximum sizes, can they be made smaller if required?
How easy do they attach?
Anyone had bad experiences with them?
Are they a danger when at or slightly ? Above the speed limit?
Any help greatly appreciated.

Take a look at the Overboard range of bags, their 40L bag is a nice size. I've used one for carrying a change of clothes, plus shoes and washgear etc when on scuba diving trips and on bike trips too (including one accross Vietnam and Thailand) they are high quality and pretty much bombproof. The ones advertised on Ebay are pretty good prices but check out yachty shop sites for bargains too.

I want a bag that can still be used when I sell my bike so a top box is no good. I have a couple of North Face bags but they are difficult to secure properly hence looking at the Oxford bags.

I use the Oxford Aqua 70 litre to carry all my camping stuff.It's a top entry bag and the top rolls down to seal it like an Ortleib bag, with straps to hold it to the size you've made it.I use it in conjunction with a Ventura rack purely for camping.There's D loops on the outside to bungy/roc strap anything else to it if necessary.Used it for the Dragon a couple of weeks ago which was 300 odd miles in constant rain and all contents remained dry.

I've a T30 which has done me proud, I've even used it as an off-shore bag.
Plenty of straps, inc a Velcro one which can go under the seat/pillion seat to secure it. Also has a shoulder strap to use whe off the bike. Tough as old boots & 100% waterproof after two years. Can't fault it, especially as I got it free with a bike mag subscription.
Recently Greatmagazines.com were offering Bike mag for £43/yr, inc a free T30 roll bag. Not sure if that offer is still on but they seem to appear fairly regularly.

Ive got a t30 rollbag. focking brilliant can fit 24 beers in too(tested) i'm a all weather rider at the moment ive been soaked to the skin and all the stuff in the bag has stayed dry.

I use the Aldi ones (Clarke, I think), I think they are 50 litre and are about £11 each, totally waterproof, roll top with a buckle fastener, carrying strap and handle. I can fit my 4 man tent, double air bed and 2 sleeping bags in one. They will also carry so much beer that you have to get on the bike and have someone heave it onto the back and pass the strap over your head. Ive got 4 of them. Brilliant, never leak, no breakages or splits so far (about 3 years now), no need to buy anything else.

I use a lomo dry bag, used it for 6 years now never leaked, mines a 60 litre, but the do a 40 litre as will, but the best part is they are less than £30, even for the 60 litre.
