Givi Monokey FZS600 Pannier Rails, Rack & Fitting Kit.
Posted by: King Orry - 26-02-17, 12:48 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

Full Givi Monokey pannier frame & Topbox plate for Yamaha FZS600
WingRack2 and fitting kit for FZS600 (came off my 2002 Foxeye).
Suitable for Monokey boxes.. (not included).
Has the handy addition of indicators included in the pannier frames, plus top plate for top box.
I used it with three big cases and the bike remained stable. Would benefit from re-spray, but perfectly sound and useable as-is.
Fazer 600 fitting kits are no longer available from Givi, and rarely appear on eBay.
Obviously they're quite a weight to post, so collection would be best (plus you can have a proper look, and maybe even bolt it on while you're here) but can post out if required.
Further pics availablef required.
I'm in Grimsby, Nth Lincs.

How much information do you tell your insurance company
Posted by: Ricky - 26-02-17, 12:30 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (29)

My insurance  is coming  up for renewal,  I always  tell my insurance  company  everything  about  my bike. Having  talked  to my mates I was surprised  to hear that many of them don't mention  any mods to there bike like aftermarket  exhaust system, suspension etc. My mechanic  says that the price of a aftermarket  exhaust system  is a lot cheaper  than a OEM one so why tell them as the performance  is not a big difference.  I have a R6 shock  and a aftermarket  exhaust system so will tell them, but from experience you have a right  job trying  to explain  to a sales  person  what you have and why you fitted it, and half  the time it does not fit in side there nice  little box of rules.Just wondering  how many of you getting on and how  much  you tell them. No I do not work  for a insurance company.

Yer Maun, Joey Dunlop would have been 65 on Saturday.
His Road Racing genius surpassed only by his humanity.
A guy who in his spare time would load up a van with aid, and drive across Europe to deliver it.
Top bloke. RIP Joey.

  Got my old Fazer back
Posted by: malc - 26-02-17, 11:50 AM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (1)

I bought the bike new in 2009 then 14 months later I had to sell it due to temporarily having no work. I always regretted it as I could have scraped by and kept it but I did the sensible thing, A friend of mine bought it and has had it ever since. sold with about 6000 miles and now I've bought it back with just under 32000 miles. It has been very well looked after and looks like it's done much less miles than it has. It's got a full service history inc valve clearances so nothing to do but ride it  Smile
I have other bikes now as well but I'll use this one for any longer trips I plan. I'm happy now it's home and I can finish what I started  Smile

Picture is of when I had it first time, when I owned it then I had the fairing lower and the Yam belly pan, he sold the lowers on and kept the belly pan but don't have any pics of it now, although it looks the same (just with belly pan).
