Hi all. Total Newbie to all things Fazerish here. I'm trying to replace the sidelight bulbs in my 2009 FZ6 Fazer S2 SHG. I just cant seem to get inside the cowling to remove the bulb holder. I have the added complication of lower fairings to contend with. Could anyone give me an idiots guide or an easier way than taking half the bike apart just to change a bulb.
Thanks for any help!!
I have some problems with my turn indicators.
Right now only the rear right side flashes.
Had some problems last year with them also but then only left front didnt work and suddenly it was fine again.
OK foccers how easy is it to replace the rear pads? Also to do an oil and filter change? Also how much oil will I need for the oil and filter change, I don't a Haynes manual for the bike so any into would be appreciated, its 2003 600 for info.
I've just posted another thread about my plans to visit Scotland in early July to do some 'Ivanising'. I have also got a handful of owners waiting for me to make a similar trip south of the border and I'm thinking about late August/early September, which is when flight prices start to get more reasonable again.
Although it's very early doors, I'm about to head off on a 3-month tour of Europe and so I thought I'd scope out interest well ahead of time. If you would like more information or would like to provisionally book a slot, please e-mail me direct (not PM, thanks) to mikegreatorexAThotmail.com and I'll get back to you ASAP. Please allow me a few days to reply because I may not always be online during our travels.
As I mentioned in the Scottish thread, I suspect this might be my last dedicated 'Ivanising' trip because it's getting more difficult to fit them in with everything else that's going on since I retired. A nice problem to have, eh? So, if you've been thinking about this for a while, now may be the time to go ahead and do it - while you still can.
In response to requests from several Fazer owners north of the border, I've booked flights to come over with my toolkit to work in Glasgow and Edinburgh from Friday 7 July to Monday 10 July inclusive. My thanks to the guys who've waited patiently for me to make the trip - I look forward to meeting you all in the summer.
Although I have 7 names already on the list, there's time for me to slot 2 or 3 more in during my stay. If you would like to know more or reserve a slot now, please e-mail me (mikegreatorexAThotmail.com) and I'll get back to you ASAP. I'm about to set off on a 3-month tour of Europe by motorhome this morning, so it may be a few days before I can reply.
This is likely to be one of my last dedicated 'Ivanising' trips as I'm finding it more difficult to fit them in to my diary. Seems like what they say about being busier than ever in retirement is true! :lol
Cheers!
Mike
PS. Please don't use PMs to contact me as I find it much easier to manage these trips via e-mail message. Thanks.
They look exactly the same, but for some reason the one for Foxeye is almost 2x more expensive then the one for Boxeye model :rolleyes
There is pretty much nothing available on eBay in blue. Does anyone know where else to look for it?
Is it me or the original headlights in FZS600 '02 are extremely poor on dark roads? Can anyone advice how to upgrade it? Are there a brighter bulbs available for this model that won't melt the plastic cover; maybe some LEDs? I asked my mechanic about those and he said that it would cost around £80, which is way above my budget. Is there anything cheaper or is there any other solution? I heard that there is a MOD for Fazer Boxeye model that improves its headlights; maybe there is something similar for Foxeye model. Or maybe there is a decent set of spotlights available?
