Pulled the swingarm from the ZZR and surprise surprise the needle rollers are shot
A kit is about £50 inc new seals etc but the seals are servicable so really just need a set of bearings
Anyone out there used non stock bearings and if so how did you get on and where did you buy them from (I know its not the same bike)

Well now, after 9 solid years of Fazer ownership the old girl has gone :'( hopefully she'll carry on for a further 50,000 miles & the new owner will register on the site.
As for me, I've decided to give another Yamaha - the sports tourer FJR1300 a go. Thought I'd try something completely different...might need to start weight training tho :lol
Will still be on the forum, probably still keep a couple of R6 shocks in reserve for latecomers and might try & get another batch of front fork emulators from the States.
Thanks all, it's been a great experience

Hi all, long shot but has anyone got a Baglux/Bagster tank cover for sale, ideally in grey? There are a couple on jizzbay at the moment but thought i'd ask all you Foccers first. Cheers. D.

| MT09 handlebars and other recalls |

I know plenty of foccers do MT09 nowadays.
There has been a recent MT09 handlebars recall.
FYI you can check your MT09 here:
https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/uk/services/...index.aspx
You can get there all recall letters in pdf. Useful if yours is used like mine and you can't receive letters from Yamaha.
The nice bit is you will see there all recalls for your specific VIN.
There has been some shift and transmission issues, and headlight recalls with some VINs too.

I've only had the battery for a year and probably only used the bike six months of the year and it's completely dead.
It was fine two days ago, I left the bike as per usual, just on the immobiliser, so that wouldn't drain the battery any more than normal.
But even if I had managed to leave the sidelights on I would still expect the battery to be low but not dead.
I can't charge it and if I swap the terminals it doesn't even warn me that they are on the wrong way, so it's now a paperweight.
Anyone recommend a replacement that's any good? Last one I had was a Yuasa, and they hate the cold.
Really need one that holds it's charge well, and lasts longer than a year.
