I know people on here have mentioned before about issues with the 021 front but what are the issues?
Been ringing around for tyres prices and mentioned that I had 021 to my local guy and he said it is a known problem but did not go into detail.
As I mentioned in my other post about Avon storm 3D Xm my Fzs has front end problems and 021 with strange wear.

Hi having a issue with the handling with the FZS ,the front feels odd, sorry that is not a correct term but it is hard to describe.
The front feels like it is moving about and tram lines to. Feels unstable and I am rapidly loosening confidence in the bike.
I have Hyperpro springs and 10 oil,R6 shock with Luke's setting.
The tyres are Brigestone 021. They where on the bike when I bought it last year and where almost new. I have now done nearly 5000 miles on them and have noticed the front is wearing odd,the right side has what feels like a ridge slightly off centre, but the left side seems normal,I know the 021 have a issue with the front does any one else have any knowledge of the issue?
I am going to change tyres and have seen a offer on line for Avon storm 3D XM for£153 delivered I know when it comes to tyres every one has some thing to say but the offer ends tomorrow and money is a bit tight at the min.
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hello, haven't posted in ages, so maybe this is my punishment.... having just collected my bike, a red 03 plate 600 with just 14k on the clock, from the mechanic having had it fettled to within an inch of its life, new brakes front and rear, full service, etc, I parked it in town and two minutes later a young woman, 20yrs old, reverses her 16 plate Audi A1 into it. Up and over it goes, pivoting on the centre stand, and falls directly onto the kerbstone, smashing in the nearside of the tank, bending the bars and clutch lever against the tank, tearing off the mirror and cracking the fairing in the process. Who knows what other little bends an dniggles lie beneath it all.
Now. She wants to go down the cash route. I've told her a new tank is around £700 unpainted, god knows how much a fairing is. It will be a write off for sure.
So, do I swallow it being written off, buy it back, do it up on the cheap, probably below standard compared to what it was like before the ding? Or do it using her cash?
I have zero experience of this so would really appreciate some expert input if possible. Cheers.

Want to sell your modded Gen 1 Fazer? |

Ive decided it will be much cheaper in the long run to sell my cosmetically challenged Gen 1 Fazer 1000 cheap, and buy a better one.
I keep looking at bikes to replace my trusty old girl, but I just keep coming back to the fact that I cant think of a better or more suitable bike for me than a Gen 1 Fazer 1000, I'm not even that keen on a Gen 2, they look a bit too modern for me.
Now I know these come up for sale on here occasionally coz I've seen em, I want a Gen 1 Fazer 1000 with and R6 or quality shock, fully Ivanised with all the air injection gubbins removed with less than 40K miles on it.
I know this may be asking a lot, but the last thing I need is to go away on holiday next week only to return and find one has been put up for sale and sold.
So, if you are thinking of selling your modded Fazer 1000 (even if its going to be in a week/month/few months time) please get in touch with me before you throw it on ebay etc.
I now invite everyone to take the p*ss out of my request.
Off you go!

Fatal RTA.....Is this normal procedure |

Two best pal bikers (I'll call them A and B), are out for their weekly evening rideout, over a familiar route. The lead rider,(A), approaches a roundabout, checks his mirror to make sure (B) is with him, only to discover he's not. After a brief wait (A) backtracks and comes across an RTA which has claimed the life of (B). Several days later, rider (A) is given an appointment date to attend a police station and advised to bring a solicitor with him.
Is this the normal procedure when an RTA is fatal, or could he be charged with some offense. Your thoughts please.
