Hello again!
well, my little donkey Fazer was a victim of the current Edinburgh bike thefts last week.
thankfully, I managed to get it found and returned to me.
the little scrotes snipped all the ignition wires in order to jump start the bike... and rode it away.
when it was recovered, it could still be jump started and ridden..
I've now had all the ignition wires re-connected (matching the colour tracers in the wires) and a big 30 amp fuse replaced.
however, when you hit the starter button, the bike doesn't start, it doesn't even crank.
you can hear the fuel pump working, the battery is fine...
all that happens is the fuel light and oil light come on.... they are not lit up along with the N light when you turn the bike on.
so I'm a bit lost...... has anyone got any ideas?!?!?!

Honda Racing GB have decided to not compete in the Armoy & UGP road races.
I think it is more down to Guy Martin refusing to ride the bike as it is uncompetitive and is a widow maker.
Let's face it the new SP2 Fire Blade has spat John McGuinness of during practice at the NW200 this year and John is lucky to be still with us. Guy Martin has binned it twice at least and has been openly ctitical about the bike.

Well after 14 years of owning a great bike thats never let me down I've decided to sell the Fazer. Silver , bought new. Used but not abused its in good condition . Some wear and tear marks - due to tail pack and a bit of engine paint flaking. Rear Hugger, fender extender, radiator protector and scottoiler from new. Raised bars. Tony Archer seat. Delkevik Downpipes some two years ago. Michelin Pilots.Never dropped. MOT until May 2018 and ready to go around the world. Used as second bike last few years so small miles. Genuine bike and a bargain for someone. Haven't managed to upload image but will gladly forward by e mail.

1 - Left hand rear panel (Red with the black/silver stripes) or full silver seat unit
2 - Full headlight assembly (Mine has a dodgy single headlight conversion and I want the stock one putting back on)
3 - Possibly some decent condition OEM downpipes or any stainless steel ones with OEM dimensions
4 - Set of chain adjusters (mine were rusted to hell so snapped when adjusting the chain)
5 - Alternator/Stator cover
Thanks in advance

don't know if this has been covered before but if it has, meh!
Which twatnav do you use on your bikes, looking to get one for the fazer but can't decide.
Real world opinion is better than sales blurb methinks.

Morning All,
I dropped my bike off this morning at a place I've not used before for the MOT but I took it there this time as it's near work and they sorted out my seized rear caliper in record quick time.
I just got a text saying it'll be £50, but I thought the max anyone can charge was £29.65. https://www.gov.uk/getting-an-mot/mot-test-fees
Have I got any right to quote the Govt rules or can they charge what they like?
Cheers...Dan
EDIT: - Doh!! I've just noticed that their website says "Same day MOTs £5O" but is this even legal?

ok just been hit badly by this one
sold my chop on ebay had some communication before hand and sent a video of bike running etc (but after winning)
Buyer never came to view just emailed, after winning i thought buyer would come up and collect
paypal payment in different name and a courior came (i hold nothing against courior he is mearly caught up in this)
phonecall saying bike wouldnt start battery had died -ok no problem will pay for a new battery as i kept it on an optimate and never noticed (i thought)
nothing heard for a few days then suddenly money on paypal was marked as unautherised payment
contacted buyer and said he didnt want bike anymore make a refund and collect bike
ok at least i get the bike back as i had regretted selling it but needed cash
but hang on paypal has taken money back so i have no cash - buyer will not return bike untill i pay £1000 refund (thats 2k total)
reported to police fraud team but cant tell you to much about that
told him police informed bike now reported 'stolen by fraud' said i will even pay for same logistics guy to return it (so i can warn him)
im taking a big hit without that bike back and a smaller one paying for the return.
so looks like my streetfighter build is now on hold as will have to tear down the chop to see if any malicious damage has been done.
if i ever get it back that is - this is why i like to do deals with a viewing and a handshake
i always view a bike buy even travveling 200 miles to do so
