all that i could find is for Fazer S2 04 -09.
Does anyone knows which side pannier can i use? Alternatives or ideas.
Cheers

MOTORWAY MADNESS |

Why is it in this country that as soon as there is a few millimetres of snow there is a sudden rash of accidents, especially on motorways.??
Back when I learnt to drive cars did not have power steering or anti-skid brakes and I drove literally by the seat of my pants. I could feel a skid or loss of traction and dealt with it.
How about compulsory retests for all drivers causing accidents in the snow??

Hi all,
finally bought another fazer (FZ1) and managed to bodge the rad shroud, belly pan & olive coloured engine casing left side (not sure of the name) . . all before I sat on the thing for the first time
Got a shroud and repaired the belly pan and now stuck as fowlers and my local dealer cant find this engine casing in the greeny olive colour on my 2009 model. I assumed the casings and wheels must have been painted but am now aware that a lot of 2009s had this coloured bits/wheels
can anyone suggest where i might find one? part number i believe is: 5VY-15411- the 00 denoting the black ones and so i assume a different number denotes my colour?
any help greatly received
Colin

I have taken this from the "what did you do with your Fazer thread so not to derail it.
I don't do rain but I do - do cold and been getting away with lots of thin layers, this lot

The blue is a thin camping mat -crap for camping that fits the chest and wraps all the way around to my back and is both insulating and windproof.
The kidney belt as well as being extra lower back protection is also very good at keeping your core warm.
It has been pointed out to me that I should invest in a vest

Get yourself one of those Pertex wind shirts, like the cyclists use. Thin as a fag paper, weighs nothing, packs down tiny in a little stuff sack. Put it on under or over a pullover, makes one hell of a difference without bulking you out. If you need to be warmer still, try a down or primaloft jacket under your bike jacket - some have a Pertex outer layer, so they are very windproof, and come in different weights, so you still don't need to bulk up too much. Wind chill is half the battle.
This is the top I use:

Yeah, I know, pricey :eek but I got mine for £25 in a sale, so look out for such.
And if I need to be even warmer, I use one of these:

I don't want heated stuff just as thin a possible with wind stop to replace the 3 layers and the camping mat, good suggestions so far from the trimmer but looking for something that combines both. Like this https://www.evanscycles.com/endura-pro-s...t-EV305964 but I really dont want to pay that much -otherwise I will carry on with my stupid layers as they do work.

Missfire FZ1 |

Hi Guys its me again, I'm still helping my mate with his FZ1 last time it was a clutch prob which we sorted but this time he has a Missfire but its a strange one.
The symptom
When starting from cold it starts and run fine, this last a few minutes and then without being touched the revs drop and it starts to miss fire. Its all most like it runs Ok on choke but when that comes off it miss fires. How ever it will rev and seems Ok above 5k.
What we have tried so far
Checked Plugs, Coils with a multi meter, Replaced the fuel line, checked all vacuum hoses. There is no fault codes showing and the TPS is at 17 bottom and 94 top. It runs the same with the Tank up or down . He has a power commander fitted so we in plugged that and it made no difference. Checked the clutch and side stand switch's all ok.
Something happens when it get warmed up to a certain point, I'm thinking a sensor is failing or something but don't know.
Any one got any Ideas please as I'm stumped.
