It's time for a brake refresh - new fluid and caliper seals. Fowlers want £145.52 for genuine seals for the fronts alone, any recommendations for alternatives that are as good before I splash out?

Hi All
Very close to getting my (new to me) yr 2000 Fazer FZS600S!! Yippee! So far I have new tyres for it (BT-023), sprayed the rear wheel and ti bolts for the rear rotor. :-)
The only thing is it does not have a rear hugger. In our lovely climate I think this is essential and therefore I am on the hunt for one. A popuar auction site has a 2002-3 rear hugger for good money on it but I know there are differences between the mounting points between this and my model. The question is can I mod the 2002/3 one to fit my version? Has anyone done this?
Cheers in advance!

Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and thought first i should say hello all.
About 2 weeks ago i notices my head lights pulsing when the bike was warming up, very slight but you could see it.
i checked the battery and gave it a charge, a few days later the same thing and found the battery was not being charged so went down the stator route, the stator itself was not putting out any voltage so replaced it.
but... same issue, after checking the outputs of the rectifier i replaced that and the battery as it was a bit old.
And here i am, new stator which is putting 72v AC and the rectifier is putting out 14.2volts DC at 2.5k RPM.
i have pulled the tank off and tested the ground cable from the rectifier and the battery, cant see any damaged or warn wiring, rectifier plus seems ok, i get a reading from the battery via the lead but when it's all connected up and bike is at 2.5k RPM i'm only seeing a rise of .50Volts DC and at idle im loosing 0.03 Volts every few seconds as if there's a drain. i'm stumped only thing i can actually find thats not right is the resistance off the 3 white wires from the stator is 0.8 ohms.
i'm outta ideas. anyone wiser than me have any clue?

Motorcycles Matter!
Join our Awareness Ride in London
Saturday 21st April 2018
All motorcycle, scooter and moped riders are invited to come to London on 21st April to make the point that “Motorcycles Matter”.
Motorcycles play an important role in our congested cities.
The problem is that the people running things don’t get it.
Transport for London (TfL) and the Mayor of London refuse to acknowledge this.
It’s not just London: there are another 28 authorities around the country looking into Clean Air Zones (CAZ) and charging vehicles for entering them.
In London, it will cost £12.50 a day to pass the North and South Circular into central London. [color=rgb(75, 79, 86)]
Your Local Authority should be doing more to make it safe to park your bike by supplying more motorcycle parking bays with security.
Manufacturers should be doing more to build in better security.
Insurance companies should not be punishing the owners.
The government should be doing more to support the Police in their fight against theft and increasing the penalties so that owners are not financially punished due to increased premiums.
We are not a ‘cash cow’ to bolster failing finances due to government cutbacks.
So it’s time for motorcyclists to hit the road for a “Motorcycles Matter” awareness ride!
Keep an eye on social media for updates on this event.
Get passionate! Get involved!
Because Motorcycles Matter!
