Introduced myself earlier this month talking about getting back into biking after 20+ yrs. Well I've gone and done it - bought a 2002 FZS 600 - silver, 23K on the clock. Collect next Saturday but will be trailering as a 130 mile trip after not being on a bike for any length of time is probably not a good idea! Not sure if this is the right area but I'm after a rear hugger and a front extender - best place to get them (and can I get rear hugger the same colour?). Also engine bars or bobbins - any preferences to which is best? And where to get them.

Hi, I have got a centre Stand for my Fazer 600, not sure what position it should be in when stand is up, did not have a stand when i bought it, last owner put new exaust and silencer on so must have took old one off. Tried new stand on but ruber stop on stand makes it look a bit low does any one have a photo of bike with stand in up position so i can compare please, also whats best way to fit the spring to stand, looks a pig to pull on, thanks. bike is a 2002.

Hi all, next week I'll be picking up a 2004 fazer 1000.It's been sat in a garage for at least 4 years but it's a one owner bike with about 10,000 miles on so I'm touching wood and hoping it'll be an easy job to get back on the road. :rollin
He says it's a carbs bike so that'll take me back a bit cleaning them up :rolleyes and I think probably a new battery and tyres too.Have I missed anything?
Can't wait to get her running,I ride an NC750X DCT at the mo and while the 80mpg is great and the helmet swallowing tank is genius I could use a good scare from a bike again. :woot :eek :eek

Hi All
Another day closer to getting my FZS600!!
Its a yr 2000 Boxeye that has had the double headlight mod done on it, but even then I know that the lighting is not the best on these models. It will be fitted with engine bars and this will provide a handy mounting point for some auxilliary lighting. I was thinking of some 12v LED spotlights (have some for my MTB for nighttime riding and they are pretty decent) and just wondered it
A. anyone else had done this
B. What cheap Chinese LED lights they would recommend?
Or alternatively could install a HID kit to the bike.
Open to your experiences and suggestions!
Cheers
Paul
