  Oil Filter Wrench
Posted by: MikeBike - 10-03-18, 09:44 AM - Forum: General - Replies (17)

Hello Guys.
I´ve bought a used FZS 600 1998-1999. No tool kit was on the bike. I wish to buy an oil filter wrench. There are some universal on ebay or amazon but I am not sure if they work. Can you suggest me one and also tell me if you know, what´s the diameter for the filter? I ve seen a cheap one that is for 65mm diameter filter. Is it the filter this size?
Thanks
Miguel

  Power Commander V [5] for FZ1/FZ1S Fazer
Posted by: pilninggas - 09-03-18, 08:47 PM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (3)

My Fazer got sold the other day  :eek , still have an FZR1000EXUP [plus non-yamaha stuff] so all good though  Big Grin .

Anyway got a working PCV for an FZ1, think itll fit an FZ8 too, but youll need to check.

It's only glitch is that one of the port bungs [i think to connect accessories like a map switch] is missing, so it's got some tape on it. Shedloads of maps out there for it or get it on the dyno for a full fat tune up.

£100ono posted. Itll go on the bay if no takers on here[/i]

  Radiator Guard - FZ6
Posted by: HarryHornby - 09-03-18, 09:00 AM - Forum: For Sale & Wanted - Replies (1)

Hi All,

I've got a radiator guard for sale.  I bought it for my FZS600 but it doesn't fit.  With thanks to Agricola for his measurements I'm pretty sure it's for an FZ6.

Please check your rad size before purchasing.  The guard is:
383mm wide
214mm high
145mm deep
the gap between the fixing holes is 143mm centres

I'm looking for exactly what I paid for it, £30 delivered.

Cheers

  Possible stupid speedo question
Posted by: John_FJ - 08-03-18, 08:46 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (10)

Hi guys, I have recently replaced my dials with white ones and followed the instructions on the link on the site. I Plugged the speedo back in and tried it, everything seems to work fine, rev counter fuel guage, all the lights. I wanted to check the speedo and as the mot is up and its on a sorn I dont want to risk riding it down the street.

As the speedo is electronic, if I put the bike on the stand and put it into gear should the speedo work then? I am assuming the speedo drive is in the gearbox.

I did say it was a stupid question sorry :o
