Does anyone know if Pete Exupnut is still on here?
He's not coming up in any searches and I need to contact him.
Cheers

Well having commuted through the winter's cold wet dark mornings and evenings without incident, it now seems like it's silly season once again on the daily commute.

2 incidents last week and one today, without going into details, has anyone else experienced the situation where cagers are 'looking' at you but not 'seeing' you?

Maybe i'm getting too old or something, If anyone has any top tips or can recommend a decent hi viz vest it's much appreciated.  Sad

Keep safe out there lads.

  Heavy/hard to pull in clutch
Posted by: Grant1Shepherd - 18-02-19, 06:45 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (25)

Hey everyone

Been having a little issue with my FZS600 clutch recently, it has suddenly become really heavy/hard to pull in, it is causing my wrist to cramp up when riding it is that heavy.

The clutch and the bike works fine but I definitely need to find out the solution to this problem to ease the pain on my wrist.

Hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

  Running rough
Posted by: tex - 18-02-19, 02:35 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (13)

Not sure what this one is any help suggestions appreciated, bike was running great then filled it up with super unleaded  on the way home started running rough spluttered home like pulling away in third. Got home had some tea then went back out and it was fine again used it for 3 days no problems,  went out yesterday and it was bad again, so drained the fuel and put fresh in but no difference, starts up fine revs high but back fires, only thing I did notice when I turn the ignition on it doesn't make that clicking noise so maybe the fuel pump is on the way out , does this sound like the fuel pump ? I don't think it's blocked jets as I use sea foam and it hasn't been laid up for more than a few weeks.

Anyone have a spare Gen 1 front wheel for sale?
Posted by: Fazerjon - 17-02-19, 05:15 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (9)

Hi people, I’m looking for a front wheel for my 03 Fazer thou. I was unfortunate enough to hit a massive pothole (more like a crater) on my way home from work yesterday and I’ve bent the front wheel rim and torn the tyre. I’ve spoken to the Highways Agency who said that “if I qualify” for a claim, they have 15 days to respond. Then they said I have to pay out for the parts which I then claim back from them afterwards. So I need a wheel for the short term, then I’m gonna go for a brand new one from Yamaha at £720, plus bearings, plus a tyre. I’ve attached pics of the pothole and my wheel. If anyone’s travelling on the A2 from London and comes off at Junction 1 for Rochester & Strood then be careful, I drove past in the car yesterday to get pics, I can’t believe how big & deep it actually is. If anyone has a wheel thats straight (not bothered about bearings, I’ll re use mine short term) and I can buy please let me know, I’m in Rainham Kent, so can collect if fairly local as I’d imagine postage would be horrendous for something that size & weight!
Cheers
Jon

Base Carb Settings For Air/Fuel Mixture
Posted by: Northern Biker - 17-02-19, 01:47 PM - Forum: FZS600 Fazer - Replies (3)

Hi,
Got a set of second hand carbs that I have stripped and had them ultrasonic cleaned.
I'm in the process of rebuilding them, can anyone tell me or point me in the right direction, I need info for the base settings for the mixture screws?
I think I've seen somewhere that 2.5 turns out for a standard bike with standard jets but I cant find where I saw it!
Thanks in advance.

Where do we start on this one!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I would love someone to give me a reason why some openly unrepentant stupid little worthless excuse of a  human being, who joined an anti Christian terrorist organisation would EVER in ANY circumstances be allowed back into this country of ours?  An utter disgrace to any British parents who lost a son/daughter or children who lost a mother/father fighting this barbaric scum!
