Plan on removing the radiator to remove the AIS shortly to fit Justy's kit. I'm tempted while there
to coppaslip the header bolts, but wonder if I'm tempting fate undoing these when I don't really need to.
Am I courting problems or would you do it as well??

Foccin' AWESOME!!
Dealt with the roads today fantastically, despite the councils apparent refusal to get their new gritters dirty.

Seriously impressed with them, although I did bottle out going up Observatory road due to it's sheet ice status, but hey.
:o

Highly, highly recommended for this season, see how they last mileage wise and then into the decent weather.

Hi,

I just passed my DAS test on 11/11/11 (a nice binary date there) and I have just bought a W reg FZS600.

First bike with an engine, and I love it. It's in pretty mint condition, with 20k on the clock and a service history to back it up.

I wanted a Thundercat originally, but finding a clean example was proving difficult, plus when I sat on one, I felt quite ostentatious (and a bit silly)

Sat on the Fazer, felt wicked, felt better when I was riding it. Feel amazing for buying it.

Few questions:-

What are ideal cruising revs?

What are some good all weather tyres?? (ones that last would be great)

Is there anything about it I need to know, any weird things that if I don't do, will surely kill it (no manual was supplied, but gonna get a Haynes one)

Just got back from a couple of days in the south of France and while there I heard a news story on Riveria Radio, an English speaking radio station, that I though worth sharing.  What I'd like to know is how?

  linkage photo required please

hi

can anyone help please.

I have replaced some suspension linkage bushes on my gen1 but something is wrong as there is still lots of movement that definitely should not be there.

The guilty area is the bit where the lower dogbone connects to the 3 point ' triangle ' as i call it ( sorry i know it's not very technical ).

This is not the bit where the bottom of the shock connects up or the forward upper bit that connects to the frame but the lowest/fattest bit as described above.

I have put in new bearings and spacers ( metal tube) and it looks ok as up against the workshop manual picture but there is upwards movement in the rear wheel , i.e. you can move the rear wheel up and down and see the head of the long bolt that goes through the area in question actually moving, which cannot be right!

If anybody can supply a photo of this area of the bike that would help so as i can check it to mine.

Many thanks
