Classic Yamaha 350 - markp2 - 15-12-11 I know that it isn't a Fazer but it does have a FOC-U connection. 1971 Yamaha YR5 350 twin. UK bike with matching frame and engine numbers. Tax exempt. Mot until June. Fully restored with a complete strip, refurbish and rebuild. Upgraded with modern electrics and a LC350 clutch to ensure reliability although nothing can be seen from the outside. The bike is in near show condition and only a couple of minor blemishes away from concours. Have a look at the pics and if interested contact me at mpollard60@btinternet.com and I will send you full details. Price is £2500 for hopefully a quick sale. Dealers ask £4000+ for bikes in this condition. Oh yes - the FOC-U connection. The superb paintwork is by none other than our very own Deefer of this parish. Nice to see its holding up well, still it had more than enough lacquer on it. This is the first time I have seen the bike complete and I must say she looks lovely! Re: Classic Yamaha 350 - Kosmic Kartman - 20-12-11 Drool dribble. That looks soooo lush. Reminds me of an old RD 200 Electric, Torque induction I once had. I think the YR5 only came in two colours. Orange/black (like mine) and Orange/White so most of them look similar. There was a purple/white but I think that was for the 250 only. Paul. Glad you got my reply. Sorry to hear that you are so far away. How about combining it with a winter weekend break in Devon? Cheers, Mark Re: Classic Yamaha 350 - paul.s - 30-01-12 lol id love to mark but with fuel costs (3.0 tdi touareg)and b+b +taking sat off work it would take the bike out of my budget shame as it does look good Re: Classic Yamaha 350 - markp2 - 20-02-12 Bike now sold. Thanks to everyone for the interest. If you know of anyone with a similar machine, I have boxes of parts - new and used - to sell off for any reasonable offer. Cheers, Mark |
