  Which can - FZ1?
Posted by: Bracechenko - 07-12-11, 01:50 PM - Forum: Fazer 1000/FZ1 corner - Replies (10)

Some may remember that I dropped my FZ1 a while back with new tyre syndrome and put some nice dents into my Mivv carbon stubby can amongst other damage of course.

Well, all the other damage has been repaired and the only blemish left is the can and link pipe. I know some of you might suggest that I leave it but I really want to have this bike looking untouched and that dented can bugs me.

So, I do really like the can itself but as i'll be replacing it I thought i'd throw it out there for some alternatives. The Mivv cans and link pipes aren't cheap so I guess the same budget opens the doors to some nice new stuff.

I would want a stubby system of sorts. Something that looks trick and sleek and suits the FZ1 nicely. Not a fan of twin pipes of any sort though. Not overly bothered about the noise as they're all quite good but I expect i'd leave the baffle in. My Mivv can baffle in is loud enough, with it out is sheer thunder and just screams to be pulled over by the fuzz

Over to you for suggestions and preferrably pics Smile

  Negative scanners
Posted by: Jonty - 06-12-11, 11:18 PM - Forum: General - Replies (12)

Hi Chaps,

Wanted to get the views the assembled view on negative scanners - the good, the bad and the ugly!

Like many people, we've got a load of negatives knocking about - but don't ever do anything with them.

So has anybody bought a negative scanner - could you download easily onto the p.c. and then print out a decent picture.....if so, how much and which sort?

All views gratefully recieved as the other 3/4's might be getting it for Crimble!

Foccer font of Scottish knowledge please!
Posted by: Tori - 06-12-11, 11:02 PM - Forum: General - Replies (20)

I am planning a photography road trip to Scotland next year. I've never been. (Well, I've been just across the border but no further)
I particularly want to see the ospreys, so plan on a visit to Loch Garten.
Does anyone have any ideas of nice places that I can plan my route around please? I've googled alot and I'd like some local opinions. I'd like to do a bit of wildlife photography, some lochs and anything that will be a bit different to take snaps of Smile

Thanks alot Smile

Plan on removing the radiator to remove the AIS shortly to fit Justy's kit. I'm tempted while there
to coppaslip the header bolts, but wonder if I'm tempting fate undoing these when I don't really need to.
Am I courting problems or would you do it as well??

  Pilot Road 3's

Foccin' AWESOME!!
Dealt with the roads today fantastically, despite the councils apparent refusal to get their new gritters dirty.

Seriously impressed with them, although I did bottle out going up Observatory road due to it's sheet ice status, but hey.
:o

Highly, highly recommended for this season, see how they last mileage wise and then into the decent weather.

Hi,

I just passed my DAS test on 11/11/11 (a nice binary date there) and I have just bought a W reg FZS600.

First bike with an engine, and I love it. It's in pretty mint condition, with 20k on the clock and a service history to back it up.

I wanted a Thundercat originally, but finding a clean example was proving difficult, plus when I sat on one, I felt quite ostentatious (and a bit silly)

Sat on the Fazer, felt wicked, felt better when I was riding it. Feel amazing for buying it.

Few questions:-

What are ideal cruising revs?

What are some good all weather tyres?? (ones that last would be great)

Is there anything about it I need to know, any weird things that if I don't do, will surely kill it (no manual was supplied, but gonna get a Haynes one)

Sam
